  • More strange weather here - looked like November (grey and drizzly on and off) but was really quite warm…

Beetroot and feta couscous for lunch. LO chicken with green beans and pesto pasta tonight. Rest of the roast chicken is portioned up in the freezer.

Grey with rain either side of the day 🌧️ so I didn't bother going out.  I had a volunteering Teams call for a couple of hours early afternoon then I caught up with last nights episode of Grace

im using up eggs so egg mayo and spinach wrap for lunch.  After a 'quick' 90 minutes 🙄 call with one of my sisters a late dinner was the last of the noodles , Turkey and veggies.

Started wet but not raining, now sunny, so no idea how the day will finish. Quite mild though, which is a plus.

On my way around YouTube yesterday I found a Porridge Oat Cake, which looked very easy & tasty, so I'm going to have a bash at that later because it's one of those recipes that the ingredients are already in your cupboard
If it works, I have posh butter & some Bon M jam to neutralise all the calories of anything they are spread on

Lunch, cake won't be ready, so it's a sarnie, filling TBD
Dinner, last of the use up Chicken chassuer with more AF frozen chips

Maybe some healthy fibre rich porridge cake later? :)

    Good morning everyone,
    Cake sounds good Farway.
Weather is marginally drier so far but much cooler. I lit the stove last night, after getting soaked yesterday I just couldn't seem to warm up. Looking at forecast I suspect it will be getting lit again tonight.
Fridge bits for lunch. My sis is coming for dinner tonight. I slow cooked a small gammon joint yesterday. We'll have it with pineapple, salad and potatoes.
  • It was cool enough for a warm bath this morning, but it has brightened up now.

I had a toasted bagel and a bowl of grapes for breakfast. I made a Quorn stir fry with garlic asparagus for lunch.

I'm watching a show on Netflix called How To Get Rich. I just read Ramit Sethi's book the other day and he hosts the show.

  • Sunny and blue skies today after a foul day yesterday and thro the night, it feels cooler here too - its like someone has flicked a switch to indicate summer has ended.

Online delivery arrived so I feel spoilt for choice. I had a portion of sweet potato soup for lunch again then put a couple of large chicken thighs in the SC to roast this afternoon.

Tonight I had one of the chicken thighs with new potatoes and a salad using the last of the rocket and baby toms, I'll have a think to see what I fancy doing with the other chicken thigh for tomorrow.

  • Not sure where today has gone, it flew by.

WFH day and the most important thing was that the wine delivery turned up 🍷😉

LO chicken and pesto pasta for lunch. Beans on toast before swimming this evening.

Same the side of the border too Farway 🙂

It was my elderly friends birthday today she's 87 so I took her and a friend of hers out for lunch at a local pub, she needs a walker and he's almost completely blind both with let's just say 'daily mail opinions' unfortunately not whilst using indoor voices  :#  TBH if I wasn't driving I would have had a large gin or two! at least my seafood risotto was really nice, just a shame I had no room for dessert as the crumble looked delicious.  I sorted a couple of jobs at my friends flat with a cuppa before leaving

I popped in to see my sister and decompress on the way home with a cuppa then picked up some milk and berries.

No dinner required as I was too full

    Good afternoon everyone,
Sunny and dry here but decidedly chilly. Don't mind the cool weather if it's dry. :)
Very stiff and sore today after Monday's physio. I wasn't too bad yesterday so thought I'd escaped the feeling battered afterwards for once and probably over did it a bit so a quiet one today.
LO ham for lunch with salad in a wrap. Easy one tonight - cottage pie from the freezer with veg and gravy.
  • Ditto weather here Caronc, think its around 14c but nice enough when in the sun.

Fancied something warm for lunch so made a flat bread quesadilla with cheese, onion and pickled jalapenos.

For tea at the moment I'm thinking to use the leftover chicken in a pasta dish with some arrabbiata sauce but that idea may change later  :/
