Mixed weather this morning, sun & then dull, but at least dry so far
If it stays fine I'll sort out some spent tomatoes in the conservatory, try & tidy a bit before it gets grey, gloomy winter

Had a cooked breakfast this morning for a change, sausages & eggs. I've got posh eggs this week but can't tell any difference to my usual.

Lunch, use up mushrooms in an omelette
Dinner, last of the LO chicken + LO coleslaw & bits
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • I had seeded toast with cream cheese and Everything bagel seasoning. Yum.

It is very nice and sunny today, but I'm indoors catching up with YouTube.

    Good morning everyone,
Well the good weather didn't last so I'm glad we cracked on yesterday though I was pretty done last night.
DS2 is just back from a quick trip to Glasgow to pick up Frank. DS1 is away on a stag do and unfortunately DIL2B has been felled with a tummy bug. DS1 is back later but we might keep Frank overnight, we'll see.
LO chicken goujons with salad in a wrap planned for lunch. Tonight it's a pigs in blankets roast dinner using the last of the batches I made last Christmas.
  • Catching up on a few essential chores today and updating the freezer inventory.

Meals today were influenced by the freezer stock
Lunch of feta, pomegranate and watermelon salad with a couple of slices of crusty bread
Dinner = a portion of chicken curry added a chunk of frozen spinach and the last of the bag of frozen chips

    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £20.63
  • Ooh, curry and chips, N2BT 😋

Warm and sunny here today, much better than the forecast. Had a little while in the garden tidying up this morning and got another load of washing dried on the line.

I’ve also had a swim, cleared the ironing pile and done some food prep.

Smashed avocado and scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. Roasted a chicken this evening and had some with new potatoes and salad.

I think it was probably the last of the hot days, it was 28c so loads of washing dried including my throw which his lordship has laid claim to! It was getting grey when i brought it in

I did half fall asleep on the sofa (I could hear the TV in the background so not probably asleep) late afternoon and awoke feeling stiff and uncomfortable, I very rarely do that and it left me out of sorts with a achy hip

Egg mayo and spinach wrap with tomatoes for lunch.  LO noodles, vegetables and turkey for dinner

  • It seems like the summer has lasted for ages this year. It is dull here today, but still fairly warm.

I want to make mac and cheese today. I bought some crispy onions to put on top. I will probably have a bagel for breakfast.

Summer's over here, dull, dreary, & drizzly damp. Still muggy though.

From breakfast feast to famine, just buttered toast for breakfast this morning

Lunch, HM Ploughman style, without crusty bread
Dinner, not in the N2BT range, but it's LO chicken chasseur with frozen chips
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • Sometimes only chicken and chips will do Farway  :D

Horrible, horrible weather here, all kinds of rain already today and set to continue until tomorrow lunchtime.

Definitely a day for soup so made a pot of sweet potato, carrot and lentil with a touch of curry powder and coconut milk.

I'll have one of the RM cauliflower grills tonight with some rocket, sweetcorn, tomato and cucumber

    Good afternoon everyone,
    We're still waiting for summer......
Like N2BT, horrible weather here. I got absolutely soaked when I was out for physio.
Crackers with cheese and homegrown tomatoes for lunch. Baked chicken curry with rice and naan for dinner.
