Mixed weather this morning, sun & then dull, but at least dry so farIf it stays fine I'll sort out some spent tomatoes in the conservatory, try & tidy a bit before it gets grey, gloomy winterHad a cooked breakfast this morning for a change, sausages & eggs. Good morning everyone,
Well the good weather didn't last so I'm glad we cracked on yesterday though I was pretty done last night.
DS2 is just back from a quick trip to Glasgow to pick up Frank. DS1 is away on a stag do and unfortunately DIL2B has been felled with a tummy bug. DS1 is back later but we might keep Frank overnight, we'll see.
LO chicken goujons with salad in a wrap planned for lunch. Tonight it's a pigs in blankets roast dinner using the last of the batches I made last Christmas.0 -
Catching up on a few essential chores today and updating the freezer inventory.
Meals today were influenced by the freezer stock
Lunch of feta, pomegranate and watermelon salad with a couple of slices of crusty bread
Dinner = a portion of chicken curry added a chunk of frozen spinach and the last of the bag of frozen chips
Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £20.630 -

Warm and sunny here today, much better than the forecast. Had a little while in the garden tidying up this morning and got another load of washing dried on the line.I’ve also had a swim, cleared the ironing pile and done some food prep.
Smashed avocado and scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. Roasted a chicken this evening and had some with new potatoes and salad.1 -
I think it was probably the last of the hot days, it was 28c so loads of washing dried including my throw which his lordship has laid claim to! It was getting grey when i brought it in
I did half fall asleep on the sofa (I could hear the TV in the background so not probably asleep) late afternoon and awoke feeling stiff and uncomfortable, I very rarely do that and it left me out of sorts with a achy hip

It seems like the summer has lasted for ages this year. It is dull here today, but still fairly warm.

Sometimes only chicken and chips will do FarwayHorrible, horrible weather here, all kinds of rain already today and set to continue until tomorrow lunchtime.
Definitely a day for soup so made a pot of sweet potato, carrot and lentil with a touch of curry powder and coconut milk.
I'll have one of the RM cauliflower grills tonight with some rocket, sweetcorn, tomato and cucumber

Like N2BT, horrible weather here. I got absolutely soaked when I was out for physio.
