Dull but quite warm.Had a letter to post first thing, so took the opportunity to top up with diesel and into Home Bargains for a mooch. Their YS was not reduced by much, so came away empty-handed, if you don't count two packs of daff bulbs of course.Lunch, salad sarnieDinner, LO HM braised beef, LO mash + fresh HG runnersEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Another wet and gloomy day here.
I have various admin and domestic bits to tackle, or at least make a start on, today before my sister joins us for dinner this evening.
The Korma style chicken curry didn't quite hit the spot for us despite a bit of additional spicing. Nothing inherently wrong with it but not on the make again list. Cooked a pot of chicken, veg and rice soup yesterday so will have some of that for lunch. Halloumi pasta with salad and crusty bread for dinner.0 -
It is quite warm here. I walked up to the charity shop and had to get the bus back as I couldn't be bothered to walk home. I had crumpets with Flora and Bonne Maman jam before I left and a packet of Walker's salt and vinegar crisps when I got home.
I have some leftover sun dried tomato bean dip that I made yesterday and I will have that in some seeded toast with some lettuce and tomato for lunch.

The roadworks are finally finished so thought I would take a chance and try out the revised bus routes/timings to the shopping complex a few miles away. Previously the bus took 20mins and I had 1hr to browse/shop before getting the return bus. Unfortunately the changes now mean I'm on the bus for 40mins and only have 20/30mins to shop before the return bus - not so convenient
Treated myself to some of the "extra special" ham to have in a croissant with mayo, tomato and mustard for my lunch.
Tonight I'm having local butcher's pork sausages, sweet potato mash and peas - all in all a bit of a pig of a day

my sister is borrowing a friends beach hut this week so I went down to the beach with her today and enjoyed the sun shine although TBH I spent half the time under a umbrella 😎🌞 tidy was out when we got there

Completely forgot to post last night.
LO smoked basa risotto for lunch and beans on toast for early tea before swimming.
Back later, have a good day everyone.0 -
Sunny & warm with light breeze. Ideal sort of Goldilocks day.Asda delivery arrived, 20 minute early, but I was around so no harm. I found one damaged, bent, tin of mackerel once I unpacked, so will have to claim that back. It's not leaking but looks "blown". You'd leave it on the shelf if in the shop.Lunch, salad sarnie againDinner, could be salad, but I have last of the LO braised beef so probably nuke that instead.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Nice beach Brambling similar to mine - I love sitting listening to the sound of the waves moving through the shingle.
Quite a mixture of a day weather-wise, nice and sunny this morning but cloud, rain and mist moved in later this afternoon, still pleasantly warm though.
Ham salad croissant for lunch and chicken & veg fried rice for tea.

Good afternoon everyone,
Gorgeous beach Brambling.
Med review etc. this morning and then I'm not quite sure where the time has gone.
It's been another very wet day here, though I managed to avoid the downpours when I was out.
LO pasta for lunch. Dinner will be JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince with rice.0
