  • Back from my few days with family but as it’s only a few days until another weekend, I have just done a very small shop to tide me over. Was out at a meeting this evening so cheese and mushroom omelette, baked beans and bread and butter for a quick, early tea.

I’ve made my packed lunch for tomorrow too. Feels like ages since I was at work 🙃

I'm glad you are feeling better.

I am going to have a bowl of muesli for breakfast as I had a craving for it and bought some from Tesco yesterday.

It feels much more autumnal today and it is spitting with rain here.

    Good morning everyone,
I'm glad you are feeling better N2BT.
Thankfully the storm has eased and it's a better day here. Still quite chilly though not as cold as yesterday. I lit the stove last night as I was cold despite suitable layers and thick socks!
Spent a frustrating day yesterday dealing with a needless clunky interaction with OSCR for my voluntary work. Not helped by my printer deciding it really didn't want to speak to our new WIFI! Wasn't just me being a Luddite either took tech savvy DS2 ages and much muttering to sort it out. A glass of red last night was much needed lol!
Dinner yesterday was an easy CFO oven bung in of a pork steak baked in foil with garlic. leek, red pepper and mushrooms. I had it with a baked spud and a corn cobette.
Fridge bits for lunch and tonight it's sausages, beans and HM wedges.
  • Rain overnight and there's a flood warning. I looked out just before high tide in the early hours of the morning and it looked okay. Next high tide around 4pm but at present its warm and sunny  :)

More of the lentil soup for lunch today and tonight I'll have a burger, no bun, salad and some fried and pickled peppers (Greekish recipe)

  • It is very windy outside. I went to the local charity shop and found two long dresses and a skirt as it might be tights weather soon.

I made a tofu and pepper stir fry when I got home.

  • Definitely a chill in the air this morning but had brightened and warmed up when I left the office.

Very glad it is only a 2 day week 🙃

Had couscous with chickpeas, tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, roasted peppers and capers for lunch. Tuna steak with Mediterranean lentils and roasted tomatoes tonight.

It's rain most of today, not heavy but consistent ☔️ I noticed when out driving this morning that leaves were already beginning to fall, I'm assuming as it was windy earlier in the week but definitely had a early autumn feel to the day

I'm going to start volunteering for the national trust and drive out to Petworth House for an induction morning, we also got a free introduction tour of some of the art in the house.

it was nearly 2pm when I got home so a quick lunch of cheese and crackers.  I cooked the king oyster mushrooms I picked up yesterday and made Bun Chay

Wet & windy start, but all gone now and back to sunshine with a very stiff breeze

Sounds interesting Brambling, friend of mine goes walking at Petworth, seeing the deer etc.
Do you know how your volunteer bit goes, just curious because so many options, from gardening, guides to selling tea & cakes.

    Lunch, grilled cheese on toast
Dinner, frozen cod fillet + frozen chips + frozen peas

    Good morning everyone,
    Sounds interesting Brambling.
The weather turned manky again yesterday and looks like a rinse and repeat for today.
More admin on the cards and Tesco are due later. I also need to make or at least start bread to take to my sister's tomorrow.
Fridge gravel for lunch and probably cod for dinner as I've ordered some cod loin. Thinking I might poach it in some HM parsley sauce.
