I had the worst indigestion yesterday. I had to look on the NHS website as I have only had indigestion maybe 2 or three times in my life before. I was going to take ibuprofen and they said that was what you shouldn't do so that was lucky!
I felt so hungry this morning as I didn't eat much yesterday. I just had half a baguette with one half with vegan bacon and ketchup and the other half with a chickpea miso dip I made with mustard. I feel alright now. It is quite nice and sunny, although still windy.0 -
Sounds really interesting Brambling, I had a NT membership for years but didn't renew this year; not having a car anymore it's not so easy to get to their properties.
We also had rain overnight but it dried up by 10am and turned out warm and sunny
Prawn and avocado salad for lunch.
Chilli from my freezer stash tonight. I'll crisp up a flatbread into tortilla style chips, use the remaining half avocado from lunchtime and roast some sweet potato and asparagus.

Very blustery start here, lots of bits of tree on the road on my way to the office. Lovely sunny afternoon when I left for home 🤔
Rest of the jewelled couscous for lunch. Naan bread pizza, coleslaw and salad tonight0 -

I met up with ex work colleagues for dinner which was really nice, the two of us retiree's were trying to persuade the boss to retire as well, he's 63 but he's worried he will have nothing to do especially if his wife keeps working for awhile as she's not yet 60Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1

The rain arrived overnight as forecast, still raining, dull & dreary.I feel sorry for the folks down Southsea at the Victorious Festival, nothing as bleak as a wet & windy sea front area. Possibly brightens up for rest of the weekend. With the weather, and having two squidgy bananas, I've made a banana loaf for a bit of warming comfort food laterLunch, salad sarnie, and probably some B loafDinner, I was going to pick some runners for dinner, but too wet & soggy so something from the freezerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

It is quite heavy rain here. I have almost run out of loo roll so I might have to pop to the shop at some point. I will check the weather to see if there is meant to be a break in the rain at any time.
I am going to have a toastie for breakfast.

Good afternoon everyone,
We seem to have missed the storm though the weather has been quite manky. Dry just now but later on and tomorrow are supposed to be foul.
Off to my sister's for dinner tonight. We're taking focaccia and feta dip. The bread is baking just now and smells heavenly.
Last night I cooked cod loin simply baked in foil with salt, pepper and a knob of butter. I had it with roasted veg and really enjoyed it. Nice and easy but really hit the spot.
Lunch is tbc probably "something" on toast.0 -
Mostly fine here, but the one heavy shower we've had just happened to be when I went for a walk around the town without a brolly
Copied Wednesday's idea and had a cheese & onion toastie for lunch, I haven't had one for ages and really enjoyed it.
Tonight I'll do a traybake with chicken breast, sweet potato, cauliflower & a tahini sauce.

Very wet start to the day, finally brightened and dried up early afternoon.
Out for a haircut late morning so had brunch of scrambled eggs and mushrooms before I went out. Ran a couple of errands while I was out but haven’t done much else.
Burger, coleslaw and salad tonight.0 -
