    Good morning everyone,
    Back to torrential rain today.
It's going to be chaos for a couple of days as my sis and Ari are staying while she gets floors sanded and varnished. I might not get the chance to post until "normal" returns.
Family all here for dinner as the kids are helping her move furniture this evening. I've made a vat of ragu for spag bol.
Really enjoyed the ramen last night, LOs for lunch.

  • That’s me done with work and CFOing for a few days 😄

Second half of the lentil, beetroot, brie and walnut salad for lunch. Pasta with salmon, peas and a pesto and cream cheese sauce tonight, with a side salad.
  • Back to sun after yesterday's rainy ending.

No CFO today, there's a leaving do at the volunteer place this afternoon, with a buffet etc so maybe just a slice of toast for lunch, then buffet & see how I feel about eating later

Sorry Folks, I did write a post yesterday but obviously got distracted and forgot to press the post button  :o

After the hairdresser I started on some batch cooking for the freezer (4 chilli con carne portions and a chicken curry)

I had a portion of the curry for tea last night and two portions for the freezer.

Today's meals include cottage cheese on toast with some sweet chilli sauce for lunch and tonight gammon steak and cauliflower cheese.

I had a smoothie to use up the end of the milk and I bought some kebab wraps from Lidl the other day and had one with some veggie meatballs for lunch. Ew. They were horrible. Tasted like uncooked dough. I had a PB sandwich instead.

I'm waiting for my shopping to be delivered to have dinner.

  • Sunny morning, looks very pleasant outside.

Lunch, sort of Ploughmans with salad bits but no crusty bread :(
Dinner, some of my "free" [money refunded] Asda quiche and salad

    Good morning everyone,
My sis's floors are refinished and she's delighted with them. The kids will help her move the furniture back in and her and Ari can sleep in their own beds tonight. Yesterday for dinner I made Lemon, garlic and oregano chicken wings with feta dip from the Greekish book. We had them with salad and HM wedges. There's some LOs for lunch.
Think I'm CFO tonight and will decide later what to have for dinner.
  • I just went for a walk around the block and it is still quite warm and sunny.

I had a bunch of grapes, some crackers with houmous and then some twiglets when I got in. I'm going to have a ready made lasagne and a big salad with vinegar and oil for lunch.

Totally agree Wednesday, I've tried a few different SM flatbreads/pittas and they all seem way too doughy I've started grilling or air-frying them before using. Similarly I've stopped buying SM bread and opt for local bakers instead - they are a bit pricier but are less "doughy" and last longer before going mouldy.

We're expecting travel mayhem from Monday, major roadworks for 5 days plus a rejig of bus services as well as the schools going back, so I decided to jump the bus into the City this morning and review the new travel arrangements at a later date.

Lunch was a burger (no bun) and a crunchy side salad.

Filled pasta with hm tomato & basil sauce.

I got back yesterday, we left about 7am to try and avoid hitting the M25 too late on a Friday but it still took us about 5 hours.  We were lucky with the weather with just a little rain on Monday before it got hot so we took refuge in the Bakewell puddling shop and shared some 😋 (we parked about 2 miles from town so walked some of it off) and we got wet Thursday afternoon after walking a couple of miles to a local garden it started to rain heavily a hour after we got there and then all afternoon, we did walk back 🌧️

My brother and SIL came down from N Yorkshire and stayed in local pub Monday later afternoon going back Tuesday evening, it was lovely to see them as it's been a couple of years and neither are in good health, my SIL still lives with cancer which returned in 2019 after 22 years and my brother is still not 100% after being in hospital a couple of weeks over Christmas.  Even at 60 it seems I'm still his baby sister 😊 he was nearly 16 when I was born

Luckily my gout disappeared as quick as it came by Sunday although I had a easy day Saturday thanks to what I think was side effects from pills in the morning 😣 I sent my sister out walking 😁 Farway my brother tells me he hasn't had gout since he started the preventative medicine 10+ years ago so suggested if it returns again ask to revise dosage!

I got all my washing done and dried today including my bedding, stripped before I left, cleaned the dishwasher and did a Sainsbury's shop for fresh stuff as I have plenty in the freezer still

Snap on lunch N2BT I had a pork and apple burger (without bun) with portobello mushrooms and shallots all AF with some salad.  Salmon for dinner with new potatoes and salad
