My balance is playing up at the moment too Caronc. I think it must have been going to the hairdresser and leaning back the other day. It gets so annoying. My reflexologist said the area I pointed out that hurt after my session today was the ear/vestibular nerve.

Good afternoon Everyone, I had broccoli to use up before it started going yellow so decided to get the oven on early and bake a flan case for a broccoli & stilton quiche for tonight. Then jumped a bus to a$da as I was running out of fresh F&V.

Managed to pick up a smallish celeriac so will use some of it tonight in a remoulade and try some in Brambling's suggestion for boulangerie potatoes later in the week.

Lunch was a small wrap with prawns, lettuce and tomato - dangerously drippy but nice and fresh.

Loving watching the events in the velodrome, that will keep me busy this afternoon :)

  • Drizzly for most of the morning here and then turned into a pleasant late afternoon/evening. Another busy wfh day but got the essentials done in between the meetings so all good.

Swimming this evening so had a portion of jambalaya from the freezer for lunch and then early tea of beans with toast.

Drizzly for most of the morning here and then turned into a pleasant late afternoon/evening. .
Same here, heavy drizzle until lunchtime, enough to get wet when helping a elderly friend in and out of my car and putting Walker in boot whilst she inspected my vet practice as she wants to change vets.

Ham and cheese bagel for lunch with tomato salad. Prawn curry with rice and LO French beans for dinne.

I'm going away on Friday to the Peak District so will be using up food.  His lordship won't mind as my nephew will be cat sitting and I think he loves him more than me 😁

I had a Thai style burger and chips and coleslaw for lunch at the restaurant yesterday. I felt really rough after reflexology so I had an early night.

I have woken up early as a result which was good as I have an Amazon delivery and my dog is coming back today.

I just had porridge with maple syrup and blueberries. I don't often crave porridge, but this was really lovely. It looks like another nice day. I'm going to sit in the garden and read my kindle later. I have two library books to pick up too.

Started sunny but now getting blacker as the day goes on.

Up watering and then Morries first thing, more for YS mooch than anything, but did get a cuc, and jackpot on YS Ready MFOs, £1.12 from £3.75, debatable if ever worth nearly £4 but at just over a pound, fair value IMO
    Destined for freezer anyway

    Lunch, salad sarnie
Dinner, was going to be a quiche / flan salad, but if weather changes I have cook in bag kippers from Morries, so that is Plan B

    Good afternoon everyone,
Enjoy the Peak District Brambling, I hope the weather is kind.
It's a manky, wet day here and I'm still pretty sore and wonky so not planning on doing very much.
The sausage, bean and pepper dish was lovely and there's a little LO for lunch. Tonight it's pasta with a chorizo, tomato and pesto sauce.

Its sunny although quite blustery here today, windows open wide creating quite a thru draft in my flat making it much more comfortable than previous days.

Leftover celeriac remoulade, salad and cold meat for lunch.

I've had some mini cooking chorizo in the freezer for a while, think its got a touch of freezer burn but it'll get cooked anyway. I'll make a jambalaya/pilaf type dish with it adding onions, peppers, rice, stock, herbs, spices and some leftover cooked chicken.

Hope you have a nice break Brambling - are you going in search of a Mr Darcy too?  :)

  • Three quarters of the way through my working week, and another busy day done.

Couscous with feta, cucumber and pomegranate seeds for lunch. Made egg fried rice with LO roast chicken, red pepper and sugar snap peas after swimming tonight.

Chatsworth House is on the list N2B as well as Bakewell because it would be rude not to try their puddling 😁 unfortunately I have what I fear are gout pains in my left foot 😡 I think I've eaten too many prawns recently so perhaps the pills aren't working, fingers crossed it's not or the holiday will be impacted 🤞 I still plan to go as my brother and sil are coming down from Yorkshire to BandB for a couple of days and I have seen them in a couple of years

Another ham and cheese bagel for lunch.  Easy dinner of mushroom omelette and AF chips for dinner
