I had some blueberries and water. I will probably have my usual toast in a minute.
The book I started on my kindle didn't really grab me so I will start one of the library books today.0 -
Dull, cool & windy, certainly not August.Brambling said:unfortunately I have what I fear are gout pains in my left foot 😡 I think I've eaten too many prawns recently so perhaps the pills aren't working, fingers crossed it's not or the holiday will be impacted 🤞Oh I hope not, prawns are one of those Purine foods to avoid, luckily I think Bakewells are healthy in comparison, moral is avoid prawns & eat BakewellsHope it clears & is just a warning twingeI've made some banana scones using up manky bananas, honestly they went from green to squidgy in a matter of daysLunch, salad sarnie + taste test of fresh banana scone. I have very posh English butter to try as well, even comes in a roll not brick, so it's super posh.Dinner, Not so posh, boil in bag kippers & HM mash

Good morning everyone,
I hope the pain settles before your trip Brambling.
Weather is still dire but I'm lot less sore and wonky this morning.
We have Ari today/overnight and I need to sort out my Tesco order but apart from that no real plans.
LO pasta for lunch. Black eyed bean and mushroom curry with rice and naan for dinner.0 -
That's a shame Brambling hope it eases up before you go away. I had to look up what Farway highlighted about purine foods and damn it, everything on that list I eat and would miss if I had to restrict it. One of my friends takes warfarin and has to restrict foods that contain high levels of Vitamin K - all of which I love as well. I'm with Farway stick to the Bakewell goods
JKS I'm so jealous of your salads with pomegranate, don't know if here is a shortage, maybe just this area, but there hasn't been any pomegranate available in any of the SM's I've been to for well over 2 weeks
Was tied up in a meeting this morning so little time to prepare anything other then a melon and cold meat salad for lunch. There's leftovers of last night's rice dish for tonight but will do some extra veg to go with it.

I'm with Farway stick to the Bakewell goodsOh no, are those tablets beginning with C and can only take for a few days?? At least we know they work, so you should be up those Wainwright's in no time.I'll take your lapse as a timely warning for me, I could see me overdoing salmon or mackerel for instanceIt's car MOT day, so having to hang about near the phone. Should be OK, but it's the hidden things, like emissions, corroding underneath etc that can be a bummerI can get on & finalise my Asda delivery list in the meantimeLunch, crumpets with cheese toppingDinner, unsure, could be a saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I only heard of Wainwright's the other day, weirdly.
I had a banana and went to post a letter and then walked down to the beach and back as I was listening to a podcast.
I had a roll with vegan cheese, lettuce and mustard and a packet of crisps when I got home.
I'm going to have veg curry and rice later.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
I hope the tablets help quickly Brambling.
Sunshine and heavy showers here (mainly showers). It's quite windy as well.
Some housework done this morning and Tesco are due later, I'm still quite unsteady so that will do me.
Last night's bean & mushroom curry was delicious. Definitely on the make again list. LOs for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.0 -
Day off today and have enjoyed pottering around on a warm, sunny day.
Red pepper and feta frittata with salad and free Lidl baguette for lunch. Made smoked basa with sweetcorn pilaf tonight, served with the end of the sugar snap peas.
