Dull but OK, nothing fancy, but it's dry.A bit of online finance stuff today, car tax and check on interest rates, one fixed term expired & I think I'm on a lower rate now, only a few pounds involved, but I may as well have it as not.Stuck for ideas for meals, something involving a stale sliced loaf for lunch, toast I guess?Sun is trying hard, so could be salad + something for dinnerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Good morning everyone,
We have sunshine!
There are lots of things I could be doing chores/admin wise but the garden beckons.
My sis and nephew are coming for dinner tonight. I'm just roasting a chook which we'll have with salad a new potatoes so nut much prep needed. LO pasta for lunch.0 -
I woke up very hungry so I had a frozen lasagne for brunch. It is dull and dreary here, but still fairly warm. I just called up the kennel to see if they had any spaces for August and they had two nights free so I booked them. I will just plan to do something nearer the time.
I wanted to call my reflexologist to see if she has any spaces free for August too.0 -
Bit cloudy here today so jumped a bus to M@talan to have a mooch around and pick up a couple of pillows.
Lunch was a cheese scone with some leftovers from yesterday.
Saw JO on tv making tartare mashed potatoes so thought I would give them a try tonight and have it with the last piece of salmon quiche from the freezer and some green beans on the side.

Nicely warm day with the sun out on and off. WFH but no washing to do today 😅
Bit of use up lunch of feta and prosciutto salad with some sourdough bread and butter. Made a sort of chicken fajita rice dish tonight, it was a bit like jambalaya really but had it with yoghurt, lime and avocado 😋
Two day’s packed lunches prepped this evening too.0 -
Trip out to the art shop his morning to buy a 60th birthday gift, on the way back I saw the farm shop was advertising English cherries so popped in for some and a brunch of watercress which is always nice and hot, I think from your side of the border Farway 🙂 the cherries were also very nice 😋 I avoided looking at the meat counter, I didn't need to be tempted
I seem to have over brought cheddar so cheese and coleslaw sandwich for lunch. Ostrich steak brought when on offer for dinner with vegetables and chips

Good morning everyone,
Glorious day here yesterday but it it's back to gloom and showers today.
A day for my voluntary admin needed today, it's a rather long "to do" list.

Farway that's a great YS haul, you and Brambling always seem to get such good bargains, there's never any good reductions up here - lucky if we get 50p off.
Nice day again, out for a walk early on but I've hummed and hawed about what I fancied to eat today and ended up with a picky lunch of crusty bread, blue cheese and grapes.
The courgettes and peppers were starting to look a bit sad so I've roasted them with some red onions, garlic and rosemary and will have them with some filled pasta and more of the crusty bread for my tea tonight.
