I was lucky enough to see Seve win the Open at St Andrews, think it was 1984, he was a bit of a heart throb back then  ;)  - I do enjoy the last two days of play and its nice to see Tiger Woods back out there.

It's a bit of a mixed day here, drizzle first thing, then cloudy but warm, its starting to turn a bit black over the hills, fingers crossed we don't get rain.

Finally got an aubergine which is in the oven as I type, unfortunately I cant char it as I used to - I'm now all electric, no outside bbq and I wont chance the grill otherwise I might have the fire brigade at my door. So the plan for tonight is Cauliflower shawarma, quinoa & black bean salad, baba ghanoush and flatbreads.

I had a strawberry milkshake and a banana before I left for my pedicure. I had some white toast with a perfect mashed up avocado on top just now.

I have some vegan chicken pieces and I was going to make a curry, but I don't think it is the right weather as it is quite hot today! I froze the rest of the lentil soup I made yesterday.

I will see what I fancy later.

It's been hot today, it was overnight as I didn't sleep well because of it.  I had a meeting this afternoon about 35 mins drive away and it was a warm drive out, the sun also brought the tractors out 🌞 🚜

His lordship almost became a flat cat this evening, he followed me when I put the bin out and then proceeded to sit in the middle of the road 🙄 luckily it's a close and my neighbour was going slow because he chose to ignore their car and just sit looking stupid, he also ignored me shouting that it was out of hours fees for the vet so move it.

Smoke ham, Gouda and Dijon mustard sandwich for lunch.  Too hot to cook much for dinner so just a jacket potato with cheese and HM coleslaw and salad

Supposed to be even hotter today, the sun has real heat in it right now
I've watered to pots at the front, trying to beat the anticipated heat.

Certainly not an oven on day
    Lunch, another HM burger
Dinner, last of the HM burgers with salad bits

My dog is being annoying as she knows we are going away and she keeps acting up as she knows she has to go to the kennel. My cats got picked up this morning to go to the cattery.

I'm really not looking forward to the drive to Kent today. It is okay going into London as the C2C train has air conditioning. I hope there aren't traffic jams!

I have had a cheese toastie and some water. I am going to bring more water, the pack of cherries, crisps and cookies as snacks for the drive. We went to Burger King last time we drove that way so that might be lunch! :)

    Good afternoon everyone,
Gloomy but at least it's dry (so far) which will please the golfers and fans.
Can't seem to quite shake this lurgy so another quiet one planned. I'm not hugely unwell just lacking in energy.
Fridge bits for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner. No Tesco delivery today, due to all the road closures in the area none of the SMs are offering home delivery this week so it will be something from the freezer or a takeaway.

Nice and warm today with sunny intervals, got bedding washed and dried in record time.

Last nights leftovers for lunch and salmon, mashed potatoes and peas for tea.

  • Very hot here today, this summer is crazy. Global IT issues have impacted the day but we got through it…

Had mushrooms and herby cream cheese on toast for lunch. BBQ’d rump steak with chimichurri cannellini bean salad tonight, and 🍷

Looking forward to a quiet, catch up weekend

Hot here as well I'm looking forward to a cooler day tomorrow 🌞😎 I don't do heat very well

Ham salad for lunch with potato salad.  I wasn't hungry tonight so a couple of slices of toast and some fruit for dinner
