It was really hot yesterday. The drive was uncomfortable. The concert was good at Dreamland Margate and it cooled down a lot. We were very lucky with the weather as it was still quite mild when we left after 10pm.

I have house viewings today so we have to leave quite early. There is fresh fruit at the Airbnb so I might just have some of that and then have lunch out at a cafe later.

Dull & close, I had a sleepless night with the heat, so up & out watering at the volunteer place by eight.

Supposed to be rain maybe this evening, but it may miss me [and Brambling] if it goes up North a bit
DS & family are now on holiday, in Newquay, Cornwall area. Tipping down there according to the radar.

Lunch, cheese & sliced raw onion roll
Dinner, Quiche / flan out defrosting, that with salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny though it's supposed to rain later.
Lurgy finally seems to be lifting, I'm hoping to have enough oomph to do a bit of greenhouse tidying.
I picked 2kg of cucumbers yesterday so need to get pickling. I think I have enough jars and vinegar.
Cooked a sausage & veg oven bung in last night so LOs of that for lunch. HM burgers and salad for dinner tonight.

Warm again with a pleasant breeze and sunny intervals, also a nice surprise in the post from hmrc this morning  :)

Leftover salmon and salad in a bun for lunch.

Cauliflower cheese, corned beef, chips and pickled beetroot tonight.

  • A very quiet day here, think the week caught up with me. Watched Saturday kitchen and did my meal plan and shopping list before forcing myself out to do the shopping.

Bread and cheese for lunch. Salmon with sweet chilli vegetable noodles tonight.

    Must be more productive tomorrow…

Similar weather today as Farway definitely cooler than yesterday.  My sister text this afternoon and suggested fish and chips for dinner at the beach they always taste better on the beach 🙂 the tide was out when we got there but it was nice and warm until we left at 830pm

Dull & warm still, and another restless night. :( Never mind, at least I don't need the heating on.

Nice to hear lurgy is on the mend Caron, always a nuisance when you know you're ill, but it's nothing definite, just “not right”

Brambling, fish & chips near the sea is far tastier, sometime spoilt these days with gulls. Mind you, I've been pestered by gulls when eating in the café of Chichester Cathedral, don't mind cheeky robins, it's thug gulls that are a problem.

    Meals are unadventurous today
Lunch, AF sausages in a LO bun
Dinner, LO cold quiche, plus salad bits & some AF frozen chips

    Good morning everyone,
Keeping cool is no problem here it's only 15C and very overcast though dryish. Hopefully the rain will hold off until the final of The Open is done.
Prepped cucumbers yesterday evening to pickle so need to sort that out today.
Only ate half of my burger last night so the other half will be lunch with LO salad. Veal schnitzel, veg, new potatoes and peppercorn sauce for dinner.

L/o shredded cabbage/carrot/mushroom + sp onions and toms and few bits yellow pepper all in a bag in fridge for dinner with tin of pink salmon (trying to use tins) and some baby potatoes, in fridge going cold,  the rest will be for something the next few days.  Having a pre cooked sausage on sandwich for lunch.  Bought reduced lemon yoghurt type thing yesterday, had 1 last night, another today then last one tomorrow. I love planning menus, prepping meals, even cooking them but even though I may like it, to me its just fuel so why am I the size I am  Huge. Thats life. x

I'm living in "seagull central" two not quite ready to fly chicks have fallen off the roof and are wandering around the carpark, parents still feeding them but we're all very watchful when going out. The fledgling creche by the estuary is also close by with a few swooping parents around  :#

Fried egg softie for lunch and pork belly strips in bbq sauce, rice, green beans tonight.
