Beautiful sunny morning here but there is still a bit of chill in the air. According to the local news there was snow and hail showers in Aberdeen yesterday, thankfully missed us.

Although I don't miss the garden I had at my last house I do still enjoy growing things so this morning I messed about with my hands in compost; re-potted the SM basil plant which hopefully should keep me going for quite a few months. My house plants were also a bit pot bound so re-potted them into bigger pots. Checked out the charity shops around town and managed to find a decorative plant pot holder the right size, so very pleased  :) will also check out the next car-boot sale to see if I can find a couple more in different sizes.

Lunch is a pitta filled with salad and prawns with a sweet chilli dressing.

Tonight I'll roast some asparagus wrapped in parma ham, serve with a poached egg and some jersey royals.

It felt mild when I went out for a quick walk and it stayed dry. I had a strawberry oat milkshake again for breakfast and I just made broccoli noodles with a drizzle of sesame oil for lunch.

    Good afternoon everyone,
We've had a lazy start to the day as both pooches obligingly had a lie in.  :)
Sunny but chilly here, though it's supposed to rain later.
Not much planned today. I stumbled quite badly yesterday and although unhurt at the time I'm quite stiff today so a day of gentle pottering is on the cards.
There's a small chicken thigh LO from last night's traybake so that will be the basis of lunch. I bought a small gammon joint yesterday to turn into steaks as much more economical that way. We'll have a couple tonight topped with bbq sauce and cheese served with tbc veg/salad and HM wedges.
  • A very lazy day here. It’s been cold and rainy on and off.

Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch. Halloumi and red pepper fajitas with guacamole and soured cream tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry so far but overcast and chilly.
Frank finally seems marginally calmer, though that will probably change when Ari arrives later. Frank goes home tomorrow evening but Ari is here until later in the week.
LO gammon for lunch in a wrap with salad. A few weeks ago I cooked a chook and froze LOs so an easy one tonight of that, veg and Jersey Royals. Started the filling for a cottage pie yesterday to have tomorrow when the family are here for dinner I'll finish that and make mash today so if it's mayhem tomorrow when DS2 is back at work I don't have much food prep to do.

Morning Folks, it started off quite nice this morning but the rain started before I managed to go for a walk.

I had a productive morning; got a batch of tomato/marinara sauce on the hob and the oven on early to do a batch of pork and apple meatballs for later this week, also a couple of chicken thighs which I will use some of later today in a chicken & broad bean risotto with a side of grilled asparagus and tomatoes.

Not quite sure what to have for lunch maybe just a flatbread salad wrap as there are some salady bits need using up.

I just went for a walk to the shop and then had toast and Flora when I got home. I was chatting with the guy in the shop and talking about moving away from the area. He was saying I should keep my house here and then buy another place in Kent. I don't know if he thinks I am rich, but I couldn't afford to do that!😂

It is dull and drizzly here. My trainers got muddy so I might have to put them in the washing machine.

  • Miserable rainy day here, haven’t left the house…

Pottered around, done some ironing, some voluntary admin and binged The Red King.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Roasted a chicken this evening, had it for tea with new potatoes, salad and coleslaw. Same but with cold chicken gone in a lunchbox for tomorrow.

I wasn't feeling 100% yesterday just really tired and chilled, I went to lay down at 4.30pm woke up at 8pm and sorted the cat and got ready to go to bed, unfortunately that meant I was up 1am feeling fine eating biscuits and listening to podcasts until 3am 🙄 so I've has been thrown today.  It was heavy rain this morning, his lordship was not impressed that it was the same weather out the front as out the back!  Lazy pottering day for me just some housework this morning.  I have recorded some early Shetland which I binged on this afternoon 📺

Tuna and Spinach salad for lunch, I made some 'chips' with a small wrap in the AF to add a bit of crunch.  Marinaded chicken thighs in ginger, chilli, garlic, mirin, rice vinegar, honey, lemon juice, soy and sesame oil and made a tray bake with rice for dinner and ate with broccoli, beans and kale. Plenty of LOs 🙄
