I had better luck with the express bus this morning although it was running a bit late it got me to the part of the city I needed to get to. Had a scout around the large Boots and picked up a couple of bargains, then on to B&Q for pots to plant on a couple of vigorous  house plants. Back in perfect time for lunch which was the remains of yesterdays tuna.

Defrosted a portion of turkey & black bean chilli but haven't decided yet what to have with it - might be the last of the frozen potato waffles or the last sweet potato. Thankfully my online shop is delivered tomorrow so a bit more choice.

  • Usual Wednesday morning of meetings, one long, one short today 🙃

Also done a couple of good catch ups with some of my team. One of them was over lunch so a ham and cheese toastie (yummy but not desperately healthy) 😋

Had a portion of batch cooked peanutty sweet potato stew and toasted pitta tonight, before nipping into town for an appointment.

Usual Wednesday morning meeting for me too 🙂 although I've handed it over and have to bite my lip or go on mute 🙄

Finished work early for a doc appointment.  Surgery is next to Dunelm and I know I was going in there for something, I had 10 minutes to kill and wandered around hoping it would come to me, which it didn't so saved me pennies.  parked in the Sainsbury's carpark so picked up some chicken thighs and a small gammon joint caught my eye as well

wrap for lunch using the last of the pork and roasted peppers.  Portion of vegetable and peanut butter chilli from the freezer with lentils for dinner

I have just had a banana and water but I will make some toast in a minute or maybe a chickpea toastie. I have a different estate agent coming over to give another valuation to see if it matches the other one.

I kept feeling chilly yesterday while I was reading and I had to put the heating on for a few hours. I need to check how much we are in credit with Ovo as I keep forgetting to check.

    Good morning
    Overcast and chilly here.
I'm being kept on my toes with 3 pooches here, Frank is causing complete mayhem, Hector is needing a snooze and Ari is trying to keep out of the way!
Fridge gravel for lunch and Cumberland sausages with beans, mushrooms and baked spuds for dinner.
Apart from finalising my Tesco order there is nothing that must be done today so I'm just going to go with flow.  :)

Blue sky and sunshine, but cold & heating came on this morning
if it warms up I'll tootle around the garden, just to check if any changes, I spotted a neighbour's shed roof has a large bit of the roof felt missing, presumably from the recent winds we've had.

Lunch, another toastie with HM coleslaw and some salad bits
Dinner, repeat yesterday, LO cold mushroom & cheese quiche / flan, nuked jacket spud & salad bits

The estate agent gave exactly the same price as the other one, which is good.

I made a very quick salad for lunch after he left.

Online shopping arrived on time so I had a lovely fresh rocket, feta and pomegranate salad with some crusty bread.

I know they are a bit pricey but as a treat for myself I ordered some jersey royals and asparagus; I'll have them tonight with a piece of salmon from the freezer and a touch of creamed horseradish on the side.

I need to portion and wrap up stuff for the freezer this afternoon and try and negotiate some space in there for them

  • A very unusual meeting free day so actually got on with a simple but time consuming task this afternoon. Feel like I actually achieved something today 🙃

Other half of the new potato, beetroot, smoked mackerel and horseradish salad for lunch. Just had prawn, red pepper and sugar snap pea egg fried rice 😋

Back to catching up with The Twelve tonight, intriguing…

Usual Thursday at work 🙂 outside it has turned into another wet afternoon and evening ☔️

I used the last of some sad mushrooms to make a mushroom omelette for lunch with some asparagus and roasted peppers.

Tomato, aubergine, courgette and butter bean stew for dinner with some broccoli there are LOs 🙄
