    Good afternoon everyone,
After a lovely day yesterday in a change to forecast it's back to cold, grey and wet here today. I'm hoping it dries up a bit so we can get the trays for the bedding plugs filled. Hector is off for a soggy beach walk with my sis and Ari. We have Ari overnight again and then from Tuesday evening Frank arrives for almost a week.
Cheese toastie with LO coleslaw for lunch and roast lamb dinner tonight.

Lots of different kinds of rain here today  :(

I'm also working on my online shopping list for later in the week, so over the next few days I really need to use up a few of the RM's in the freezer.

Today's lunch was a few odds and ends of stuff that needed using up. I have a cheat's curry going in the SC with a jar of sauce, chicken, butter beans & every veg I could put my hands on. There's some l/o rice in the freezer that I'll have with it and I think I still have a couple of poppadum & chutney in the cupboard.

It has been very changeable weather the past two days. We all just went out for brunch and I had vegan sausages, hash browns, pancaked, avocado, mushrooms and tomatoes with an orange juice. I feel very tired as we went to bed about 3.30 last night. I'm just going to do some laundry now.

  • Out for the day today and the weather has been beautiful, a bit cold out of the sun but just lovely to be out in dry, sunny conditions. The location did have some indoor things but we made the most of sitting out and wandering around stretching our legs.

Had a yummy roast dinner plus pudding so just a cheese and beetroot sandwich tonight 😋

I had an early night last night after quite a tiring weekend. I have the estate agent coming over at 4 today to give us a valuation. I have to dust and vacuum before, but the house looks fairly tidy and I will have to keep it looking like this.

I am going to have crumpets with Flora and jam for breakfast.

Cool, but at least it's dry and sort of sunny at times for now
I am going to have crumpets with Flora and jam for breakfast.
By coincidence, I was just thinking it's ages since I had a crumpet, now I will add some to next shopping.
Lunch, last of the tinned pilchards, on toast
Dinner, jacket spud and maybe salad bits. Have to think about spud filling, maybe just plain grated cheese?

    Good morning everyone,
Oh crumpets, not had one in ages!
Back to dry and trying to be sunny after yesterday's rain. That said it dried up later on and we got the trays for the bedding plugs filled and DS2 finished my wonderful new very raised planter and has enough wood left to make another. They will make a huge difference to how much I can do without assistance in the flower garden and reduce Hector's tendency to seek and destroy!
LO lamb with salad for lunch. Korean style pork and pepper stew with rice and steamed veg for dinner.

Weather has improved here too, I think temp actually got into double figures for a change. Been for a couple of short 20mins walks today something I need to get back into the habit of.

Lunch was more of the soup I have in the freezer with a slice of toast. Tonight I'll have some filled pasta with a mushroom and blue cheese sauce and ss peas on the side.

Blue sky but a bit chilly at the moment. Hopefully it warms up a bit because I want to plant out my climbing beans later.
Nice photos Brambling, we don't have many rhododendrons around here, soils too chalky, I normally get my fix at Wisley.

Saw some of Wisely on BBC's Countryfile last night, the grounds there look lovely.
