I'm feeling chilly. It was 11 in my kitchen this morning so I put the heating on.

I just had toasted sourdough with Flora and Marmite and a cup of green tea. I'm going to use my treadmill, have a shower and then have another cup of something hot.

    Good morning everyone,
Chilly, grey and tipping it down here.
DS2 headed off just after 5am so just me a Hector today. After a couple of very sore days I'm feeling the benefit of Monday's physio session. Tesco order to finalise and then I must tackle some housework and admin. Trying a Turkish Cypriot recipe for meatball and chickpea stew for dinner. LO pasta for lunch.

I just went out for a walk and it is not too  bad at all. It is sunny and I felt quite warm on the walk home. I'm going to have the rest of the galia melon and then have a later lunch of wraps with a veggie burger and lots of salad.

Very chilly and wet morning here too but its starting to brighten and dry up now.

As a means of keeping warm I decided to do a bit of baking - out of the freezer 2 sausages, some puff pastry, chunks of butter and cheese. Made 4 mini sausage rolls and a cheese scone round (mary berry recipe) most of which will go back in the freezer and take up more space than I created  :)

Don't you just love it when you catch fruit at its most perfect ripeness, my avocado has been sitting in the fruit bowl for the best part of two weeks and today I thought better use this for lunch - it made me smile when I cut it open and it was perfect.

Another dip in the freezer for tea tonight to use up the l/o chicken and veg pilaf I made the other week.

I hate it when that happens with avocado. I bought five the other day and two were bad.

You've reminded me I have an avocado I need to take my chances on tomorrow.  Last day of the week for me as I have tomorrow off in lieu of working last Saturday 🙂 let's hope it's dry

chicken noodles soup from the freezer for lunch.  Also from the freezer a couple of YS duck legs, airfried for dinner with vegetable rice, tenderstem broccoli and a chilli sauce

  • Another busy day so a quiet evening here. Cold and bright to start but has thrown it down again from late afternoon 🙄

Cheese and chutney sandwich with cherry tomatoes for lunch. New potato, pepper and chickpea traybake tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny here, what a contrast to yesterday!
My bedding plugs are being dispatched on Monday so need to sort out growing on trays this weekend.
Managed to make a dent in the admin yesterday but still lots to do so hope to crack on with it today.
Tesco due later, no subs or OOS.
Meatball and chick pea stew was lovely, I made only half the meatballs but all of the sauce. Lots of sauce and few meatballs LO, I'll some for lunch and freeze the rest. Usual Friday tbc for dinner, possibly a steak sandwich.
