Yuck - not for me, sorry. Although I do enjoy a piece of meat sometimes the "fat" side of things makes me cringe and gag at the thought of it
I always look for replacements and I just googled and someone said to use a vegan beef Oxo cube heated in oil and dip the bread in it. I might try that tomorrow!🤩 That would probably work.2025 GOALS

Another mild but windy day with quite a bit of sunshine, got a couple of loads dry on the line 🙃
I was awake far too early today so it seems to have been a long day. Did the food shopping this morning and then watched Saturday Kitchen before going for a swim. Bit of voluntary admin and catching up on programmes this afternoon. I’ve finished the second series of Hidden Assets.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Tenderstem broccoli and anchovy pasta tonight.

Work finished earlier than planned, everything went ahead of schedule for a change, so we were all done by 6.30pm. I did get a couple of loads of washing on the line just not the bedding
Funny enough we never had bread and dripping although my older siblings talk about it, not sure why as there was much money when we were growing up either but we had free school dinners and the elder ones went home for lunch. There was always a bowl in the kitchen with the fat used to fry.
lunch was a odds and sods salad using up bits from the fridge. LO cauliflower and broccoli cheese with some 'found' gammon from the freezer

I had more sourdough and Flora for breakfast.
I keep feeling chilly even though yesterday was lovely and warm outside. I think it is just my house that is cold! I booked a valuation for my house for the Monday after this one.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Forgot to post yesterday!
Hectic here with Hector and Frank and the family are here for dinner. I made a rye and poppy seed loaf yesterday to have with HM tomato & rice soup, roast chook and salads.
BLT for brunch I think.0 -
Quite a lazy day for me, TV catch-up, and thinking about what needs using up and trying to get a meal plan going for the next few days.
There was some leftover slaw from last night so I had that with some cold meat for lunch. There's also a couple of peppers starting to look a bit wrinkly so I'll use these and the last of the raw king prawns in the freezer and throw together some kind of stir fry tonight.

No actual cooking here today as I was out for lunch. Have assembled tomorrow’s packed lunch and a smoked salmon sandwich for tea 😉0

Another dry day 🌞
my sister and I both had garden centre vouchers for a free cuppa with a cake in the cafe which we used this after 😋 a couple of hours catching up and then a hour in the car as I was only going to be dropping her off 😁 my nephew tapped on the wind and asked what we were doing 😁 her sofa would have been more comfortable
cheese and crackers for lunch to leave room for cake. I forgot to take my pork chop out of the freezer so dinner was a small cheese and tomato pizza with extra toppings
