I had a big glass of lemon water, a few strawberries and two toasted crumpets with Flora.

I am finally getting my hair cut today, the last time was before xmas! I'm going to bring my library book to read while I'm in there.

Windy but mild, and my back continues to improve, so all in all not a bad start tot the day.

Lunch, still on toast, not sure what.
Dinner, again something “back easy” from the freezer, probably a Chinese RM

Thanks Caronc, Wednesday & Farway re my online shopping query, I'm still a bit of a novice and trying to work out what is worth my while getting in the delivery and what I can get locally. We have a farmfoods and a coop here but I noticed neither of them stock frozen broad beans and I do use them quite a bit in salads, soups and risotto - next order for sure.

Its an absolute stinker of a day here, cold, wet and windy again. I had a quick walk to the fish shop for some local eggs, they're larger and cheaper than the SM so a win, win.

It's definitely still soup weather up here JKS, temp back down to 6c, so that's what I'm having for lunch. I found some cooked chicken and gravy in the freezer and the last of the Christmas roasties so that's tonight sorted with some green veg on the side.

  • Sounds like good cold weather food for both meals, N2BT. Bit cooler, windy and rainy off and on all day here - was glad of my reheated LO pasta at lunchtime 🙃

Quick trip to the dentist after work, was in and out the chair in about 2 minutes but they want me back for a full clean next week 😬

Will have early tea of beans with toast shortly so that I can swim tonight.

I'm feeling very tired after my hair appointment. I walked all the way there so I got in lots of steps. The girl who washed my hair gave me a head massage and I could almost have fallen asleep.

I had a very snacky dinner as I could not be bothered to cook. Crackers, olives, nuts, dips etc... pulled from the fridge.

I had the heating on earlier, but felt hot after my walk and now it is sunny with a slight chill in the air. I think I will have a bath and a early night.

Windy night and morning here, I was awake at 2am again this time listening to the weather🙄 I'm only still up as I dozed off watching the 6pm news and got my second wind 😁

I took a small quiche for the freezer and AF for lunch and had with some salad.  LO roast beef and veg for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
It's Hector's birthday today, he's 2. Not that we are doing anything for it lol! It's very wet and miserable today so he'll probably just get short walk this evening instead of his usual hour or so unless it dries up a bit.
Delicious lasagne at my sister's yesterday evening, she made it on Sunday so had plenty of time to mature. :)
HM soup from the freezer for lunch, bangers and mash for dinner.

Rain has started after a fine morning, supposed to be humid tonight, warm front on the way from France. Hopefully will improve for the weekend because invite over DDs in weather OK, I think idea is family sitting out on patio sort of gathering.

Asda delivery arrived OK, all present this time, no subs. Full fridge again, plus restock of Pukka pies on offer.

Lunch, toast & my HM lemon curd, use up the last of the bread.
Dinner, spoilt for choice now Asda has been. Smoked mackerel fillet + new spuds + salad.
Not quite the weather for it but I need some fresh food after the RM back friendly stuff of late.

It started off quite nice this morning but turned wet again around lunchtime.  I had a few errands to do and although there are major road works/closures affecting the bus times and routes I thought it best to take a chance because it will no doubt be worse next week when the schools and parents are back to work.

Not much cooking going on here today, lunch was a roast pork sandwich and tonight its an easy throw together of store cupboard and freezer combo - tortellini, leeks, sweetcorn & kale and some jarred arrabbiata sauce.
