Good morning everyone,
Glad I made the most of the dry weather yesterday as it's back to wet and miserable today.
Tesco delivery has been bumped until tomorrow as I'm now looking after Hector and Frank this afternoon/early evening as the kids are heading to their Dad's work retiring do. The thought of trying manage the two pooches and the delivery just felt like too much and we've enough milk etc. to tide us over for another day.
LO curry for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.0 -
Threw it down here first thing, did dry up later but has been very windy.
Nice, steady wfh day. Got pretty much everything I wanted to done.
Had houmous, Parma ham, tomatoes, cucumber and toasted pitta for lunch. Made a batch of nutty sweet potato and chickpea stew tonight, so a portion of that for tea.0 -
A quiet short work week 🙂 the manager was out today so I was in charge so glad it was quiet I did send myself from my personal email to see if emails were working 😁 gave me time to write up some more 'How to' instructions
chicken noodle soup for lunch. Easy dinner mushroom omelette with chips and some steamed green vegLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I had a letter about having my 5 year NHS health check when I got home yesterday. I am going to have to be on the straight and narrow. I think I am going to book it for the end of April so that gives me a few weeks to lose some weight. My new weighing scales are late arriving so I have to write down what my actual weight is so I can monitor it. My cholesterol was high back in December and I have to have that checked again. I think it was 6.4. I will have to check that too.
I had a glass of lemon water and wholemeal toast with Flora and Marmite for breakfast.
I made pasta with a "cheese" sauce I made from cauliflower yesterday so I am going to have a portion of that with extra veg for lunch.0 -
Mild but dull, I think I'm in the dry & mild part of UK todayJust made the usual banana bread with the excess ripe bananas, smalls nice & wholesome in the kitchen.I have to finalise the Asda delivery for next week, removed a chicken & added pork joint on offer, it's all well & good having offers, but it takes a bit of hunting to find one suitable for CFOLunch, something TBD on toastDinner, Pukka pie out defrosting [new freezer top up on offer & order from Asda
] with nuked LO mash & cabbage, carrots, broccoli & parsnips. Having fridge clear-out.

Good afternoon everyone,
Very windy here today, but dry and mild so far. Too windy for me to keep on my feet so a day indoors for me.
Tesco due later and apart from making dinner and routine chores that's about the extent of my plans.
The kids returned from their Dad's do bearing Chinese takeaway so LOs of that for lunch and fajitas for dinner tonight.0 -
Very strange weather here today - windy but mild, great for drying washing - two loads were whizzed around on the whirligig 😄
I’ve done some ironing as well today plus bits of tidying and done a fairly big grocery shop.
Filled pasta with sweetcorn, Parma ham and roasted peppers for lunch. Beef and mushroom stroganoff, noodles and green beans tonight. Have also decluttered the end of the mint choc ice cream 😋0 -
Morning spent doing indoor chores. I went into town this afternoon for a hair cut, the curls were taking over again 🫣 it was lovely warm and sunny until I stepped outside the hairdressers and then it started to rain. Luckily being lazy I parked at Sainsbury's making use of their 2 hour free, I usually park and walk in from my sisters' but she is in Yorkshire visiting our brother, hopefully the storm threatened tomorrow won't mean to horrid a trip back for her. I popped into Sainsbury's to pick up the berries I forgot
LO tuna May used up in a sandwich for lunch. A fish 'platter' for dinner, using prawns, cooked salmon and smoked salmon from the freezer with a watercress salad and some olivesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Breezy but mild & sunny.Lunch, more toast & TBD, it was Marmite yesterday but fancy a change todayDinner, all being well it's sirloin steak, fried eggs & posh frozen chipsHas to be fairly easy because my back is playing up after lugging a bag of compost mid-week and very painful bending to use the oven or get pots out, so simplicity is the key for next few daysEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I had a sandwich for breakfast and I made a pot of green tea.
I have HM sun dried tomato soup for lunch that I took out of the freezer and some strawberries for afterwards. I'm going to have a wrap and a salad for dinner. I'm going to make a batch of potato salad too.
