    Good morning everyone,
After a gloriously sunny day yesterday Spring seems to have vanished today.
The weekend was a busy, but productive, one. The new fences are completed and the back garden is now much more private and pooch secure.  :) Easter dinner went well, slow roasted lamb shoulder, various salads and home made seeded bread. I cooked my little socks off so ready for a quiet one today. Various LOs will cover lunches for a couple of days and tonight it's fish finger sandwiches.

I had wholemeal toast with two slices of the Aldi vegan cheese and smooth PB for brunch.

I'm going to have some fresh fruit and green tea after my shower. I'm going to walk on my treadmill and listen to a podcast before that.

I'm going to have a noodle stir fry later.

  • Another nice pottering day, weather turned out much better than expected after the very heavy rain first thing. I’ve been for a swim, cleaned a few windows, done some voluntary admin and met a friend for lunch at a garden centre (managed to not buy anything except lunch 😉). Very nice fishfinger wrap and a wander round in the sunshine.

Made pasta puttanesca tonight. LOs in a lunchbox ready for my office day tomorrow.

Thunder missed us Farway although we did have a wet morning, early afternoon today

little one's birthday party today for grownups as ordered I made a double batch of cheese straws to take, she was centre of attention and loved it but was sparked out when I left 😁 she is having another one on her birthday for her little playmates which I'm real,y glad to be missing!

Having eaten beige party food I haven't needed to eat any dinner tonight

backto work tomorrow I have enjoyed my 5 day weekend less than 40 working days to go 😁

I had a lie-in as I got into bed late last night. I am just having a big glass of water as I'm trying to get some steps in on the treadmill before I eat breakfast/brunch. I should probably get off this forum and do it actually!

    Mild & some sun

Lunch, fresh loaf made and a cheesy salad sarnie seems tempting
Dinner, use the last well past BB date frozen cod, with HM AF chips

Starting to complete the next Asda online shop, spotted a bargain offer, two pies for a fiver. Trouble is, they're only £2.25 individually, before “offer” is applied. :o

    Good morning everyone,
"Wonky donkey" decided to have a bit of a kick earlier so taking it easy today as I'm very unsteady. LOs for lunch and cheesy, chilli meatballs for dinner. DS2 is on holiday today so on hand to the bendy things lol!
  • Yes, sunny and mild here once it had warmed up, bit nippy when I went out first thing.

Not the best offer there, Farway 🤔

I took LO pasta today for lunch. Just had beans with toast for early tea so I can swim later.

Really annoying if you need two pies!

I think the donkey is telling you off for doing too much at the weekend Caronc

Rain set in here after lunch and it's horrid out there now ☔️

A long weekend meant lots of emails and system issues made for a fun day, I didn't argue when the manager said go at 4.30pm

tomato soup from the freezer with a slice of cheese on toast for lunch.  I made some chicken stock using up two small carcasses from the freezer and made a batch of chicken, vegetable and noodles, more soupy noodles rather than soup with noodles 😋 I had a bowl full for dinner but it made a big batch for lunches this week

It was still horrid this morning, but I went early start to Home Bargains, garden compost & some eggs. Eggs were cheap, compost was eye watering. It's been a few years, pre covid, since I bought any and price has certainly shot up.

Had a mooch for YS but nothing to bother about, just 50p off some ready meals which I left on the shelf.

Lunch, toast with something TBD on it
Dinner, at eh moment not fancying anything, but I have a frozen pizza so that could it
