    Happy birthday Hector 🐶

my furry PITA let 'not my cat' jump over him tonight and dash in doors, his lordship then sat in the lounge doorway as I chase it around the lounge and had to crawl to fish him out from under the sofa 🙄 he's not a good guard cat. It been a while since NMC has come in as he knows he's not welcome

today started with blue skies and sun shine before the rain set in after lunch. It seems the PM was in town today with the local MP they must be worried that our nice safe blue seat is under threat for the local elections.  We very rarely see our own guy let alone bringing in the big guns (ok poor choice of words for the PM😁) a lot of unrepeatable comments on the local FB page

Beans on toast for lunch using up LO beans.  I used some of the LObeef to make sweet and sour beef for dinner with LO broccoli and rice

  • Long day of 3 meetings but mostly useful ones. However they were all in the same location so I really haven’t walked very far at all today so was glad of my swim this evening.

Couscous with cumin roasted sweet potato, blue cheese and walnuts for lunch. Made a very gingery prawn, red pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight.

Have just enjoyed the first episode of the new series of race across the world, Japan is fascinating!

Misty & damp start, supposed to brighten up later, so fingers crossed.

Lunch, trying one of Asda posh haddock fish cakes with a melting Cheddar centre, bought on a multi buy offer
Dinner, the other posh fish cake, it's a two pack, with HM AF chips & frozen peas

Its been a lovely sunny day so far but I doubt its as warm as the forecaster predicted as we still have a chilly breeze coming off the sea.

Trip to the hairdresser this morning, on the way home I picked up some lovely heirloom tomatoes from the F&V shop and a piece of smoked haddock at the fish shop.

Lunch was a nice colourful salad with the last of the roast pork and a very ripe kiwi fruit.

Tonight I'll do a sort of gratin/bake type throw together with the smkd haddock some leeks & kale, a tomato salad on the side and some crusty bread.

  • A strangely mild day, the office was horrible and stuffy by early afternoon.

Second portion of sweet potato, blue cheese and walnut couscous for lunch. Sausage, pepper and feta stew from the freezer tonight with a mini naan bread.

    Nearly the weekend 🙃

I had some strawberries and green tea. I'm obsessed with strawberries at the moment!

I will probably have crumpets in a minute.

    Good morning everyone,
Grey and damp here with yet more rain due.
Domestics today, the bathroom is needing a proper scrub after a quick wipe round last week. Apart from that it will be a quick tidy and sweep through but mopping can wait. We are having Frank for most of the weekend so between him and Hector it would be a waste of time!
Fridge bits for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.
