Another lovely day
for a walk along the seafront, there is rain forecast but no sign of it yet,
fingers crossed.
Lunch was a repeat
of yesterday's pasta and hard-boiled egg salad. I'm defrosting a chicken breast
for later but haven't quite decided what I'll do with it - it might be a stir
fry with veg and noodles or coat it in herby or spicy breadcrumbs and have it
with a slaw and dipping sauce - decisions, decisions.

I just went outside and cleaned the decking for two hours with the jet washer. It does look much better. It is a lovely sunny day here. I only had strawberries so I made myself mashed avocado on toast when I went inside. I am getting a Sainsbury's delivery later. I might have a veggie burger and salad as the weather is warm.0

Beautiful sunny morning here so I headed out for a good long seaside stroll.
Pasta salad with a hard boiled egg and crusty bread for lunch. A freezer delve came up with a portion of butternut squash stew so had that with a couple of grilled potato waffles for tea.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I just walked to the beach and back before breakfast. There were lots of runners on the seafront so I assume something like Park Run. I bought a loaf of sourdough from a local bakery on the way back and I just had some slices with vegan butter.0

I made a really nice salad, radishes, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and cucumber in a Caesar dressing. I feel like I caught the sun yesterday while I was doing the decking and my face feels tight. I did wear sunscreen out today, but I forgot to yesterday. It feels really warm in my living room at the moment.
I'm going to have a ready made veggie lasagne later with a big pile of steamed asparagus.0 -
I stopped eating meat in 1993, but I can still remember the taste of bread and dripping. It is one of the very few things I miss!Farway said:Re discovered one of the pleasures of roasting meat, dripping!Back to 50s childhood with bread & dripping and salt glistening.

Although I do enjoy a piece of meat sometimes the "fat" side of things makes me cringe and gag at the thought of it
