I just went outside and cleaned the decking for two hours with the jet washer. It does look much better. It is a lovely sunny day here. I only had strawberries so I made myself mashed avocado on toast when I went inside. I am getting a Sainsbury's delivery later. I might have a veggie burger and salad as the weather is warm.

Late clocking on, computer update troubles which seem to have sorted themselves now.

Lovely sunny day, so pottered and potted on loads of tomato pants, taking advantage of sunshine & computer down.
Also cooked my lump of pork loin for dinner, nice bit of crackling on this one.

Lunch, roast pork & crackling sampled ;)
Dinner, roast pork will play a part but not sure how just yet

Beautiful sunny morning here so I headed out for a good long seaside stroll.

Pasta salad with a hard boiled egg and crusty bread for lunch. A freezer delve came up with a portion of butternut squash stew so had that with a couple of grilled potato waffles for tea.

  • Really mild day here but quite breezy - perfect drying day so the bedding is all done, fingers crossed for towels tomorrow 🙃

Busy wfh day, a few curveballs but got the essentials done and have a plan for the rest.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Just has salmon with creme fraiche and caper sauce, new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli. Oh, and a 🍷

    Happy weekend!

Some corrections made to sort a colleague's mistakes meant I told the boss I was crossing days off on my calendar until I retire 😁  less than 30 working days 🤸🏼‍♀️

Caught up with masterchef tonight it's just as well I've set my series link as it is on various times

fish finger sandwich for lunch 😋 using up leftover cauliflower and broccoli for dinner I made a cauliflower cheese for dinner there are LOs but as I'm working tomorrow until 8.30pm those will make a quick dinner whilst on the go

I just walked to the beach and back before breakfast. There were lots of runners on the seafront so I assume something like Park Run. I bought a loaf of sourdough from a local bakery on the way back and I just had some slices with vegan butter.

Sun on its way out and still quite warm, if it keeps I'll carry on potting up tomatoes and general pottering in the garden

I made a really nice salad, radishes, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and cucumber in a Caesar dressing. I feel like I caught the sun yesterday while I was doing the decking and my face feels tight. I did wear sunscreen out today, but I forgot to yesterday. It feels really warm in my living room at the moment.

I'm going to have a ready made veggie lasagne later with a big pile of steamed asparagus.

I stopped eating meat in 1993, but I can still remember the taste of bread and dripping. It is one of the very few things I miss!

Another lovely day for a walk along the seafront, there is rain forecast but no sign of it yet, fingers crossed.

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday's pasta and hard-boiled egg salad. I'm defrosting a chicken breast for later but haven't quite decided what I'll do with it - it might be a stir fry with veg and noodles or coat it in herby or spicy breadcrumbs and have it with a slaw and dipping sauce - decisions, decisions.

Yuck - not for me, sorry. Although I do enjoy a piece of meat sometimes the "fat" side of things makes me cringe and gag at the thought of it   :(
