Good morning everyone,
Glad things are back on track for you N2BT. 🤗
It's Stafford he's stopping at Farway on the way back but Bromsgrove tonight. . He left first thing as he is building in a site visit on the Cumbrian coast en route.
Back to grey and tipping it down here.
My beloved dishwasher has died, I bought it Autumn 2006 and for a mid range Bosch it lasted really well. It's washed a lot of stuff in it's time. Equivalent replacement ordered from JL, I doubt it will be as sturdy. Luckily I'm CFOing and had planned anyway to have some simple meals so not too much washing up. The new one arrives on Tuesday, I could have got it sooner but I didn't want to pay for remove/install so have waited to DS2 is home.
My cold feels as though it's lifting though I still have a runny nose and scratchy throat. Yesterday I made a pot of carrot, courgette, cannellini and coriander soup and a bowlful with some added cooked chicken and HM croutons fair hit the spot for dinner. It made 4 portions so plenty LO for lunches over the next few days. For tonight I've defrosted a pack of pre-marinated tofu which I'll air fry and either have with salad and a baked sweet potato or added to a stir fry. I'll see what I fancy later.

I’m doing loads better thank you, it’s been a while since I’ve let things get to me this much.
Went and met up with a friend for a catch up and a picnic. We thought we’d take advantage of the pleasant weather before autumn really kicks in, so mini pork pies, tomato, baby cucumbers, grapes and a banana for lunch.
Dinner will be the second portion of the lamb dhansak with cauli rice.
I picked up a copy of the new Dan Brown book and started reading it on the bus home.

That is a nice idea Need2BT about the picnic. It will probably get to the point that we will miss the hot weather when Autumn/Winter kicks in.
I am in Brighton from tomorrow until Monday. I have a few meals out planned.
I had overnight oats again today and then just snacked on crisps and fruit. I had some chips from a chip shop (which were very nice and fresh and crispy, yum!) with some marinated Quorn pieces and salad in a pitta.

20 years is good for a dish washer Caronc mine didn't last anywhere near as long, it's on my list to replace I'm currently hand washing the dishes.
Trip into town today for a hair cut and a wander around the town, the walk back to the car took be pass the Swedish cafe to takeaway a raspberry and almond 'bun' can't remember the Swedish name.
After lunch I went out to the range and then into Tesco next door for some fruit and veg. I need to sort out a new mobile and wanted a nose at their sim only deals.
lunch was the bun with a cuppa.
