Good morning everyone,
Dull and chilly here.
I've a stack of voluntary admin to work through so that will keep me out of mischief until Tesco comes later.
CFO tonight as DS2 off to see his Dad. Dinner will probably be an oven bung in involving chicken and veg. LO pasta for lunch or if DS2 bags that HM soup from the freezer.0 -
It is a lovely sunny day here. I had a GP appointment and I felt quite warm walking there and back.
I have had a cup of Yorkshire tea, some grapes and a banana.
I am going to make myself a burger in a bun for lunch as I got a new Linda McCartney one to try. I will have a big salad with it.0 -
I’m glad to hear that some are getting nice weather, its quite blustery here again with a real chilly bite in the wind.
As I mentioned yesterday there was the l/o tuna salad to use up so that was stuffed into a pitta for lunch.
Tonight I’ll do a mushroom and blue cheese pasta with broccoli, that uses up the last of the mushrooms and I’ll freeze whatever is left of the blue cheese for another day, that reduces the risk of me eating it on crackers when I don’t really need toJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Hurrah, made it to the end of a very long week 🙃
Another busy wfh day and suddenly realised I hadn’t had lunch so quick beans with toast. Been out this evening - had a really nice burger and chips 😋0 -
Blue skies here as well if a little nippy which I prefer to the rain we are forecast for the weekend.Family dinner last night for my nephew's OHs birthday, the little one is potty training herself asking for her nappy to be taken off to use the potty which seeing as she isn't 2 for a month is very good. We all had to applaud during dinner when she asked to use the potty, although last week she did wee behind grandma's curtain onto the floor when running around half dressed. It may have been mummy's birthday but she was as usual the centre of attention until she dozed off
Quiet work day which was just as well as I was own my own this afternoon which was also quite nice as I could get on with things. Pleasant surprise when I went to pick up my meds lunchtime, the chemist was very organised and I was only in there for five minutes last few times has been betw 40 and 50 minutes. Rumour has it they have been taken over again
Lunch was LOs from yesterday lunch, greek gigantes beans from a jar brought when Lidl had their Greek week, olives, feta cheese and a pita. Salmon for dinner with runner beans, rice, steamed tenderstem broccoli which I griddled sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and made a dressing of sesame oil, soy, garlic, ginger and chilli 😋 there are broccoli, dressing and toasted sesame seeds LOs all I'll have to do is char the broccoliLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

It is lovely again here today. I had a very early night as I haven't been feeling well so I was in bed 9 until 9 this morning.
I am probably going to have toast and a smoothie as I have frozen blueberries and bananas.2025 GOALS

I'm hoping to make another banana loaf later today, but this time I'll take it over to DDs when I go over tomorrow, with two teenagers in the house it will soon be gone.Sowing tomatoes has started, time has flashed by it seems, the weeds are germinating now so it's time to sow stuffLunch, I opened a small tin of Asda pork & ham, so looking like that + pickle in a sarnieDinner, something from the freezer, either pizza or MFO pinged

Good afternoon everyone,I'm back to being snuffly, this cold just seems to want to linger....Cloudy and windy today. The wind is bitterly cold.A quiet day today before a family get together for DS2's birthday and Mother's Day. We'll be a smaller than usual group as DIL2B is in Athens and my nephew is working. DS2 has a requested an Indian takeaway so everyone gets the day off from cooking. It's rare for us to do this we tend to always cook or occasionally go out so it will make a nice change.Bacon butty for lunch and HM burgers, wedges and salad for dinner.0

Still grey, windy and cold here, not very inspiring for getting up and going, so I decided not to do very much and am just about to sit down and watch the rugby.
Just a ham salad sandwich and a packet of crisps for lunch.
Tonight I’m having turkey meatballs in hm curry sauce, brown rice and a cabbage & carrot slawJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
