Working on my own today just with my colleague who has been here nearly six months and isn't grasping the work yet  :# my manager called in sick which is very unusual for him, I've known him work when he's looked so unwell he's grey, he did sound awful yesterday.  I attended his one hour meeting lunchtime which ended up a two hours and 'we'll finish this tomorrow' I'm hoping I've highlighted enough system changes that it will be pushed back until after I've left 😁

late lunch was a chicken and egg salad.  Easy dinner of bacon, egg, mushrooms and toast

I realised I had bought ready made ravioli and a lasagne in my shopping yesterday. Ridiculous amount of pasta in my house at the moment! Lol.

I am going to have a blueberry and banana smoothie and then go out for a walk. I feel okay today, I just have a slight cough.

I am going to make vegan sausages on toasted muffins when I get back with a cup of tea. I will cook an extra sausage to chop up and put in the pasta bake I'm making for tomorrow. I have red onion, peas and a red pepper and I will add a few sundried tomatoes in oil to the tomato pasta sauce. I'm going to try and use up all the penne pasta I have in the bake. That will do lunch for tomorrow and a couple of days after.

No rain and even a hint of sunshine
Dentist first thing for a check-up, all OK so back to sleep until December.

There's “something” going round Brambling, DiL is off now, she was bad with Covid a bit back, then fine, had breathlessness & thought was having a stroke, into A & E, all clear & now has dizzy spells & had to come home from work
Diagnoses so far is one of the Covid after effects now beginning to show up, so she's off work and unable to drive with the dizzy spells.

Volunteer meeting this afternoon, so lunch will be quick & easy, and dinner likewise
Lunch, egg on toast I think
Dinner, either another nuked jacket spud & salad or frozen RM MFO pinged straight from freezer

Oh that is strange Farway. That is what happened to me last week. I had to call ambulance as I was dizzy and had double vision. They said it wasn't a stroke or heart attack. That is why I'm on so many antibiotics at moment. I did have a cold before, but it didn't feel like Covid.

  • Well that’s my working week done, hurrah 😃

Strangely mild here, the office was horribly stuffy. It started raining this evening and looks like it’s here on and off for most of the weekend.

Last portion of the Wensleydale waldorf couscous for lunch, and butternut squash and black bean chilli from the freezer with rice tonight.

No CFOing for me for a few days so I’ll wish you all a happy weekend, and see you next week 🙃

Covid the gift that keeps on giving! I hope she recovers soon Farway

Manic work day just me and the new colleague who is in India so finishes lunchtime, I was trying to give her some training and do everything else, tomorrow she tells me they have a work social event and she will have to leave three hours early to play cricket 🤨 so I'll be on my own most of the day, which may not be a bad thing! Not sure the manager would agree but seeing as he is off until Tuesday it means I'm in charge 🙂

I made a Greek salad for lunch.  I went to Sainsbury after work I did have a list but wandered off of it 🤫 some were items which were nectar offers so although not needed today are items I do buy, I did pick up a bag of sweet potato chips which I refuse to buy full price.  Slightly frightening how much two and a half bags of shopping can cost.  Annoyingly their leg of lamb is half price, I assume for an Easter but not their half legs 🙁 I do have a half leg In the freezer so it would have been a nice to have.

Fish finger sandwich when I got back and had put my shopping away

A bit dull & damp, but rain has stopped.

Sounds like Covid will be impacting our lives for years to come with all the latent symptoms lurking as yet undiscovered, but maybe anything “odd” and don't know what it is now conveniently filed under Covid?

The only excitement today is Bin day, but I am expecting my loose tea order to arrive sometime

I've put a whole chicken into the slow cooker for dinner, nothing exotic, just bunged in and turned on :# . I'll decide on how to have it come dinner time.
    Lunch, fresh mushrooms omelette

A bit annoying, my posh red spot super non-stick pan sticks now :'( . I suspect I overheated it cooking steaks. I'll try & re season it with oil and take it easier. Furthermore, I have a ceramic one somewhere but found that even worse and took me forever to clean it.

    Good morning everyone,
Little to report here, we're pooch sitting until Tuesday and that's about it. Tesco due later.
Had a bash a making Turkish red pepper paste yesterday. My new cook book uses it a lot and it's hard to get locally and expensive online. I'm pretty pleased with the result and it really packs a punch flavour wise.

LO sausage and beans for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.
