someone stole my get up and go today, my brain was spinning like a hamster in a wheel until 3am this morning 🤯 i cancelled plans to pop out tonight and dozed in the chair 😴 so now I'm still up
Vegetable soup for lunch between meetings, I resisted the urge to hit the gin after a meeting with my Texan colleagues 😡 last of the beef as fajitas for dinner.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Another wet morning, February fill dyke living up to its name, March always feels like real Spring to me.All this soup talk, I think I'll try my new tin of Asda mushroom soup for lunch, with buttered toasted muffin. I've got fresh mushrooms, so may also lob a couple in.Dinner, the on offer chicken turned out to be very tasty, may have cold LO and the offer “free” chips. The chips are chilled, not frozen, so need to be used soon.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Hello Suffolksue, nice to "see" you on CFO. We're a friendly bunch.
I keep meaning to make Nana's Magic Soup.
RIP Dave Myers very, very sad news.
I got on reasonably well yesterday though did flag early afternoon, nothing feet up and a snooze didn't help. I think the same will be on the cards today. LO pasta for lunch and tonight it's JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince with rice and veg.

I'm having the last of my soup and buttered toast. I just went out to pick up my prescription and go to the charity shop. I didn't find a dog toy, but I did find a baseball cap that I wanted.
I have a whole box of mushrooms to use up by tomorrow! Maybe mushroom fried rice later.0 -
Sorry Folks I’ve been MIA for a few days - been a bit busy. I finally decided to get rid of my car, its been a bit of a wrench as it’s the first time I’ll be without a vehicle for 30 odd years. But the cherished old thing was seriously cutting into my finances on a regular basis. The good news is I got more for it than I thought I would and I now live somewhere that has easy access to bus and train services.
Anyway food-wise today was using up a few odd bits in salad sandwiches and tonight I had a bacon/asparagus/potato frittata, back to being more organised tomorrow.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Very sad about Dave Myers, seemed like a thoroughly decent bloke.
Bit of a day here so tea was a fishfinger sandwich, packet of crisps and wine 😬. I thought about takeaway so could have been worse…
Last of the nana’s magic soup and a cheese topped roll for lunch.
Tomorrow will be better!0 -
Just after he appeared on strictly we went to watch the hairy bikers live, they were the same as you saw them on TV great entertainment and so obviously great friends
end of a driving era N2BT but just think how much you will save
I spent two hours on a call with my manager whilst we tried to interpret business requirements for complicated system changes, I did several times try to persuade him that it should be push it back to June 😁 it will be a horrid piece of work
vegetable soup for lunch and I made a small portion of rock cakes afterwards 😋 they cooked really well in the ninja 😁 I had a couple at 4pm with a cuppa and froze the rest as they were dangerous to have around. I wasn't that hungry dinner time so had a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw

Good morning everyone,
Hopefully you'll quickly adjust to being car less N2BT. I missed mine dreadfully at first but soon got used to it.
Chilly and grey here today, we had a couple of very wintry showers yesterday including large hailstones. At least it dry (so far) today.
I've a pile of voluntary admin to tackle. None of it is particularly urgent but if I don't keep on top of it it's hard to keep track so hopefully will make a decent dent it. Tesco are due later, just one unimportant OOS. LOs for lunch and usual Friday "see what I fancy" for dinner.

Another very frosty start but it turned into a lovely sunny beginning to spring.
You are right Brambling I’m already thinking that I will set aside the £40 odd that I will save each month. I like Farway’s idea of taking coach trips to places I’ve never been before. I’m a very independent individual and the car helped support that but you are right Caronc I will adjust and learn to rethink how I do things. The insurance was up for renewal in a couple of weeks and bless them, when I phoned they refunded me £7 for the time that was left, there should also be a refund of 7months road tax coming my way, so my “No Car” Money Pot is already starting to look quite healthy.
Food-wise I had the last piece of quiche from the freezer with some salad and coleslaw for lunch. I’m trying the four cheese tortellini tonight with the last portion of my “not quite puttanesca” sauce from the freezer and I’ll do some hm garlic breadJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
