    Good morning everyone,
Snap Brambling my sis was at a showing of this yesterday evening in Glasgow, said he was very good.
Sunshine and blustery showers here today. I'm lurgified so not planning much. Hasn't dampened my appetite though. LO spicy rice for lunch and usual Friday I'll see what I fancy this evening.
  • Very heavy frost last night so I waited till it lifted a bit before going to the SM to get all the household things I needed, costly but necessary. Not many edible items in the trolley.

I had a portion of soup from the freezer for lunch and I’ll do a scone based pizza to use the leftover roast vegetables and half a jar of pesto.

  • Yep, started cold and bright here but it did rain this afternoon 🤔

Slightly frustrating wfh day but got a few bits done in between the chaos, and I’ve got a long weekend now 🍸

Scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes on toasted bagel for lunch. Just had tuna steak with Mediterranean lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes.

No CFO for a couple of days so I’ll wish you all a happy weekend 🙃

Yep after the sunshine came the rain  ☔️ it was definitely cooler this morning

A IT update was ahead of schedule today so we finished on time rather than the threatened 7pm, I thought I was going to have to work Sunday Morning but a colleague volunteered so I didn't argued as I will be working a Saturday in both March and April as she can't.  I had my official leaving letter from HR this afternoon, my last day will be 24th May I have agreed with my manager to take the last week in May as holiday and they will pay me for a week.

i made some hummus lunchtime, a cupboard rummage produced 3 tins of chickpeas so that used one, I just need to find a use for 4 bottles of soy sauce I seem to be adding it to my list when I really need Worcestershire sauce 🤯 I chopped up some veggies and toasted a pita to go with the hummus.

I roasted a half joint of beef  with roasties, roast parsnip and carrot in the ninja for dinner and had with tenderstem broccoli and runner beans 😋

Frost overnight, just as I was thinking winter had gone. At least it's dry which is good because I'm off out to collect two fruit trees later this morning.

Lunch, more toast, grilled cheese topping?
Dinner, time permitting after tree collection & faffing about, I may use up the LO roast pork in a sort of Stroganoff / casserole. I have odds & ends of veg lurking and wilting, so it would be handy.

Also need to finalise my Asda online shop for mid-week delivery

  • I'm going out to eat at 4 so I'm going to have a smoothie and toast before I leave to get the train. We are seeing Peter Kay tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
Still lurgified but feeling a tad less wiped out this morning. I defrosted soup to have for dinner and there's LOs for lunch. CFO tonight something easy again I think.
  • Another frosty night but its been a lovely sunny morning. Today is the full moon and thankfully we have a soft wind so the sea is lovely and calm.

I hate wasting food so I had the last bit of yesterdays pizza for breakfast. It's more soup from the freezer for lunch and tonight I’m having the other portion of stewed liver that I’d put in the freezer, I need to use up asparagus and ss peas so may not need any potatoes - we’ll see.

     B) just 13 weeks to go - the countdown starts now. Just think the weather will be so much better by then and you'll have the garden to keep you busy.

A couple of people I know were told to retire spring or summer as it's not a good idea to do so I winter.

Hair appointment in town today, it was getting very curly.  I met my sister afterwards and we had lunch at a small Italian restaurant recommended by my hairdresser it's been opened a couple of years but we've never been.  I had a lovely seafood risotto and a naughty but nice Panna cotta 😋 and as it's next door to the Swedish cafe we popped in for a couple of their Swedish cinnamon buns to take away and she came around this evening and we had them for dinner 🤫 back to eating healthier tomorrow for both of us 😁

    Good morning everyone,
Lurgy seems to have waned but I'm still wabbit.
Kids are here for lunch, I've a pot of chicken & rice soup simmering and DS2 will sort out filled rolls.
Chicken legs defrosting for an easy roast tonight.
