    Good morning everyone,
    Excellent YS haul Brambling.  :)
I like the sound of that salmon dish N2BT.
Ari was collected by nephew yesterday as he was off and down to see his Mum who seemed to feeling better. He seems to be enjoying living independently though he's hardly at the flat as he's working lots. Just a flying visit home though as he was on shift again at 8am. Unfortunately my sis's symptoms worsened again overnight so DS2 is going to collect Ari at lunchtime and he'll stay with us until she's properly better. She's negative for COVID but it seems worse than a cold so maybe flu. She's had a flu jab so hopefully if it is it will be short lived.
All DS2's walking at the weekend has caught up with him and he's got very sore ankles and calves, he was glad that Hector was shattered after his weekend with Frank so only needed a short walk last night.
Just a set of minutes to write up this week and then get the pay roll done next week and fingers crossed that will be my voluntary work up to date until the New Year as the club closes on the 22nd for two weeks. Then no doubt January will be hectic so I'm looking forward to the lull.
LO curry for lunch and it's a Hairy Biker's recipe for sausage casserole with butter beans for dinner. Sausage casserole recipe - BBC Food I'll use fewer sausages and bacon but keep the other ingredients the same.
  • Bored of the rain now 🌧🙄

Busy wfh day but productive so don’t mind too much.

LO jambalaya for lunch. Had toasted bagel with cream cheese, avocado and tomato for early tea tonight. There’s a cookie left for after swimming 😉

Bored of the rain now 🌧🙄
Me too 😕 heavy rain and thunder today  ⛈️

I do like the hairy bikers sausage casserole Caronc and will half the sausages but not the beans or sauce as I do like that on its own as well 😋

Another day of getting things done at work including a long boring task but sometimes they are just what you need and it will save time later.

I had to pop to the SM as I annoyingly forgot filo pastry yesterday and I was asked to take  some spinach and feta spanakotiropita (?) as my contribution around to friends tomorrow  🙄 I'll make them tomorrow lunchtime with some mincemeat 'cigars' with the rest of the pack. Local FB has let me down there were two fire engines outside my vets, no sign of smoke not that i hung around it's the main one into town so they could have just have had to park there, another engine came pass me with blue lights a little further along 🤔 so hopefully nothing too major

Another portion of soup for lunch 😋 salmon with egg fried rice and steamed pak choi for dinner

  • The guy has done one coat of paint and is going to be back tomorrow to finish off with a second coat. We have the workman here now to finish the flooring.

It is raining here as well. I have had some cornflakes with almond milk and then a yoghurt.

  • Yesterdays salmon was super simple and tasty, I’ll definitely do that again. It was quite a large fillet so I have a small bit of it leftover which I’ll have tonight with some prawn cocktail and a baked potato.

Lunch will be a bit if a lucky dip into my soup stash in the freezer.

Temp is forecast to rise up to double figures
 at the end of this week then dip down again throughout next week with a threat of snow. Farway, I hope your DGD has given some thought to her Christmas travel plans

    Good morning everyone,
Dry but cold and raw here this morning.
We still have Ari but my sis is feeling a tad better so he may go home later, we'll see how she is and take it from there.
Bathroom needs a good scrub and the stove a full clean out but apart from that I've no plans. It's our weekly meal planning day so will have a noodle online and through my books for inspiration this afternoon.
As expected there's casserole LOs for lunch, I'm not complaining as it was very tasty.  :) Roast chicken legs tonight with HM wedges and tbc veg.

Dull with a wind getting up, not very inspiring TBH

The Asda delivery arrived early, which was not a problem, all packed away now.
One sub with a cake I ordered, coffee & walnut, replaced by Red Velvet, so I sent the sub back, especially with prices, three bags of shopping nearly £60 :o
Mind you, loo rolls were a fiver, lamb frightening, and even custard powder is two quid

I like the sound of that salmon as well, I have a large fillet in the freezer and that recipe sounds ideal for it over Christmas
DGD is flying south to her Mum's [my daughter] for Christmas, not sure what day, but being a teenager things like rail strikes, extra traffic etc have no doubt been completely ignored or not even thought about. Normally she flies into Gatwick, but maybe they'll pick Southampton or Bournemouth. Mind you, the Gatwick ticket is very cheap, around £40 single, not sure if she has some sort of concession travel for this

    Lunch, grilled cheese on toast
Dinner, I've taken some cooked chicken legs out to defrost, so maybe with some salad & HM AF chips

  • Ugh, exhausted - 5 meetings today! Managed 20 minutes at lunchtime to eat my tuna mayo wholemeal roll and cherry tomatoes.

Luckily had taken easy tea out of the freezer so heated up nutty sweet potato stew and toasted a pitta, sorted.

    Now enjoying a 🍷whilst watching a wine webinar 😉

That's a lot of meetings JKS makes my brain hurt thinking about it 🧠  just the one meeting for me 🙂 and I managed to write out the meeting notes and send out as well

I think my microwave made be giving up or it wasthe butter I was melting tonight  :# I'll check tomorrow when it doesn't matter if it throw the electric and I can see inside better, it's only about 3 years old and was a cheap Kenwood on so I'm hoping not.  I only need a basic one and notthe combination ones which were popping up on my feed

Italian wedding soup for lunch.  I was out this evening but did make my spinach and feta filo triangles and mincemeat filo cigars after work to take with me I nearly burnt some as the ninja top rack is closer to the element and I was use to m6 old AF timings and temperature

  • I jumped out of bed all flustered today and realised I was very early to get up for the decorator as I looked at the time wrong. He did turn up 30 minutes early anyway so that was lucky.

I had some herbal tea first thing. I found a nice strawberry one as sometimes they aren't that nice. Twinings Superblend Glow.

I was feeling fuzzy so I had a cup of coffee too and then some toasted pitta breads with Flora. I have some clementines, a banana and a packet of crisps to have while the decorator is painting the kitchen downstairs.

There was an absolutely beautiful winter morning sky earlier. I should have taken a pic. :)
