Good morning everyone,
Grey, wet and windy this morning. I can't say, despite what the thermometer says, that it feels any warmer.
I need to finalise my Tesco order and do some chores but apart from those I've nothing planned. Frank went home yesterday evening, he lovely and has a beautiful nature by my word he's high energy! Hector is so chilled in comparison but hard to believe that was what he was like not so long ago!
LO pasta for lunch and JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince for dinner.0 -
I had toast and a banana for breakfast.
We have workman here still so I wanted something easy so I have an M&S pizza in the fridge to do in the AF and I am going to have a tomato salad with it. I have some of those nice tomatoes where they are different colours, red and gold Santini. My husband will have half the pizza.
I will be cooking for one tonight as I need to use up some potatoes and broccoli and the rest of the tomatoes tonight and tomorrow as I am out this weekend. It is my brother's birthday and we are going out Friday and Saturday in London.
I have a jar of sauce in the cupboard, Sharwood vegan Korma. I will make it and freeze the leftovers for next week. I haven't tried that jar before.0 -
Oh yes, I have the eat up the fresh pineapple too! I will have some now with some green tea and then some for breakfast tomorrow.2025 GOALS

Wet & windy here too with lots of “white horses” galloping to shore - I love watching the sea on days like these.
It’s reputed to be 7c out there but met office also state it "feels like" 1c, so I’m having a warming bowl of soup for lunch and I’ll do a bacon and asparagus frittata with a side salad for tea.
I’ll do the rest of my Christmas correspondence this afternoon and get them in the post tomorrow.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Farway said:Another rainy day ahead, mild, windy & gloomy sums it upOn the minus side, the cheapo Essentials pizza is not as nice as the posher one, so I'll go back to the posh one for an extra 36p
I use to buy the Sainsbury's cheap small cheese and tomato pizzas as they just fitted in my AF and add some chopped veg but I've noticed as they have gone up in price they have decreased in the amount of toppings, I have one left in the freezer then I think I will just add toppings to pitas or naan.
quiet day at work so loads done 😁
I brought a couple of portobello mushrooms so lunch was stuffed mushrooms with a sprinkle of grated cheese, I use to do it a lot for stuffed veg when I worked in the office but haven't done for ages. I brought a small chicken yesterday so roast chicken (45 mins in ninja) with runner beans, broccoli, carrots and roast squashLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Wet here too and felt cold despite actually being milder. Forecast for tomorrow is dry and 10 degrees…very odd!
Busy office day and one of those where I didn’t actually seem to achieve that much, too much dealing with nonsense 🙄
Sweet potato and leek soup for lunch with a cheese topped roll 😋
Quick and easy chargrilled tuna steak with Mediterranean lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight. There was a pre-dinner gin too 🍸
Just watching Masterchef in bemusement while doing my run of the mill by comparison meal plan 😂0 -
Good morning everyone,Tipping it down here, yesterday was a raw horrible day but it's milder today.Home alone until Sunday evening as DS2 is off to Amsterdam with 5 mates. DS1 and DIL2B are looking after Hector. I plan to get the annual charity return done for school club and get my Christmas cards written but not much else.Poor Ari didn't half clatter his back leg yesterday when he misjudged jumping off the sofa and clipped the corner of the coffee table. He was fine after few minutes but my sis reports that the poor love is very stiff and tender this morning. Hopefully it will settle quickly.
LOs for lunch and tbc for dinner.0 -
Started nice & sunny but clouding over now. However, I did get out for my prescription earlier, and into the local garden centre for a browse, gobsmacked, there was a decorated Christmas tree for sale, over £360
. And not just one either, loads of them, but I guess they know their customers having been trading for decades.
Asda list to be finalised for next weekFresh loaf made overnight, and LO cold roast chicken bits sarnie for lunchDinner, the other LO cold roast chicken quarter, maybe more salad and HM Madera cakeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Milder here too, but could only be described as dreich out there.
Hairdresser appointment this morning and my plan after that was to go to the SM then a bit of a browse around the other stores, unfortunately one of the main arterial routes was closed due to an RTC and long queues of traffic so decided to stay at home, nothing on my list was urgent - instead I tidied up and got some shredding and filing done.
Leftover frittata for lunch and the last portion of chicken curry from the freezer with some rice and veg for tea.

Osteopath visit lunchtime for my hip I wished I had gone when he was recommended when I came back from Northumberland 🙄 although he says I may curse him tomorrow. I have been trying to keep moving as much as possible since I got back, Ive another appointment next Friday
I was away from work quite a while due to my appointment so lunch was cheese and an apple when I got back. Dinner was lazy as well, I cooked some new potatoes and pinged LO chicken and vegetablesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1
