Very pleasant weather this morning, sunny and no wind, hopefully I'll get a chance to potter in the garden later

Hope the shiver etc passed Wednesday, sounds very similar to what I had after my Covid jab, , this time of year it seems lots of mystery illnesses pop up
Lunch. Same old grilled cheese on same old toast
Dinner, a MFO cottage pie from freezer, making space again for Christmas haul. I'll try again to use up the lurking fresh veg, leek, parsnip etc, failed yesterday just CBA when the time came

  • I'm feeling okay today, just blowing my nose a lot and a cough, but feel fine otherwise. It is another gorgeous sunny day.

I have had a toastie for breakfast and then I had a packet of crisps and a biscuit with a cup of tea with oat milk.

I bought some mushroom soup from Tesco the other day so I will have that with some slices of ciabatta bread for lunch.

I haven't got much to do today. Just vacuum and do my to-do list on the new whiteboard I bought. I might walk up and get my thyroid meds if they are ready.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Glad you are feeling okay Wednesday.
Late on parade today as was tied up with the ongoing voluntary admin issue and then my sis popped by for a cuppa.
LOs for lunch and tonight DS2 is making dal which we'll have with rice and naan.
  • Back to work and an office day to start the week. Busy but productive so that’s good. Also managed a quick sainsburys shop for the essentials (and on offer gin, also technically an essential 😂).

Portion of spiced parsnip soup from the freezer stash and a toasted pitta for lunch. Tuna, green bean and pesto pasta tonight.

Going back to work today even if just the dining room table was a bit of a shock after a lazy 10 days off and typically it was a nice day 🙄 I had caught up on some emails last week so not too many to wade through.  A 'quick' call with the boss left me with a long do to list and I've been roped into some system training, our new recruit started on the 1st and I've been volunteered, she is in India so it will be long distance via teams but she finishes at 12.30 uk time. Not sure how that will work as she will be on her own for a large part of her day 🤷‍♀️ I know the boss wasn't happy that he couldn't recruit from the uk or at least Europe

Last of the soup for lunch and a lazy beans on toast for dinner

Sunshine to start the day, always makes it seem nice even though it's cold outside
Glad you are all back to work, keeping the economy rumbling along, soon be time for another holiday >:)

I had a pleasant surprise, e-mail from Asda telling me I had dosh in my "pot" and get converting PDQ, or I'd lose it. All a surprise to me because I had no idea I was accumulating money :o , I was aware they had some promotion but never bothered with it as I never go in the shop & it seemed like it was scan this that & the other
However, it all worked out & I've £13 knocked off my next shop, which is handy because it is part Christmas stuff, like a small pud. To celebrate, I've added a chocolate orange to the list, £1.50 but 75p back into my pot :) , I'll be certainly be paying more attention in future

Lunch, I'm going to try a tin of on offer Heinz Cream of Tom soup, hoping it is as nice as memory of it. The veg one was a disappointment and never matched my memory
Dinner, rib eye steak, HM AF chips, eggs & sautéed mushrooms, open tin of budget baked beans. I may mix eggs & mushrooms into omelette depending on how I feel at the time

    Good morning everyone,
Always nice to get some surprise dosh Farway!
Tesco delivery booked this morning for 22/12.  :)
Family here for dinner tonight, I cooking toad in the hole, mash, swede, carrots, savoy cabbage and onion gravy. I sweated the onions yesterday to save a bit of time today as they always seem to take forever to get to the point I want. Need to get my finger out with the rest of it though!
    Fridge bits for lunch.
  • I went to Coop to buy bananas and dog food. I also went to get a patch test done as I am getting my eyebrows dyed this week. I found out that the man who died in the park recently had been stabbed. It was to do with a drug gang. That happened about 1.30 in the afternoon as I had been literally walking past the park just before as I had an appointment at 1.30. Strange as this area feels very safe to me compared to London. The gang were supposed to be from London, apparently!

I have only had two clementines, a banana and a cup of coffee with oat milk. I fancy a stir fry. I know I have red onions, garlic, Quorn pieces and sweetcorn but will add whatever other veg I have in the fridge or freezer too.

  • Lovely bright, sunny day here, did feel a bit cooler by the end of the day.

LO pasta for lunch and early tea of scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel before a voluntary meeting this evening. Just had a couple of satsumas and a bit of Wensleydale with cranberries with my cuppa….bake off always makes me hungry 😉

I may have to investigate Asda Farway I haven't had a delivery from them in at least a couple of years 🤔

I was training someone this morning and sick of the sound of my own voice so she must of been  :s only a hour tomorrow morning as her office have Diwali celebrations I was croaky by the time I finished

I brought a new duvet which was delivered today (thanks to a little Premium Bond win, they have been good this year  :) ) feather and down All season one from  M&S. My old one was wool and not that old brought pre lockdown but I don't get on with it, no tog and advertised as keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter because it's wool, they lied! Maybe because it's a cheaper one from Dunelm? Just have to find it a new home

Visit to our local theatre tonight with my sister to see Hairspray, a amateur production but very good even allowing for first night technical issues. The company has been around for nearly 70 years (a lot of young people at the moment) they use to do one Gilbert and Sullivan production a year and one musical they seem to have dropped the G&S (which weren't my cup of tea)  so no longer live up to their title of being a 'Amateur Operatic and Dramatic society'  they are always fully booked

Lunch was sardines on toast , cupboard sort reminded me that I was going to tackle the tin fish mountain and didn't.  Quick dinner copying Farways idea of mushroom omelette mind was with chips and sweetcorn
