Good morning everyone,
Apologies for not posting over the weekend, RL got in the way!
Enjoy lunch out Wednesday, my lunch time 'date' is at physio.
This afternoon I need to go through the fridge as I seem to have gathered an assortment of LO bits, though some of these will be lunch. Tonight I'm trying this recipe Fajita chicken fried rice recipe - BBC Food though using pork rather than chicken.1 -
Office day done. Short week this week so a third of the way through already. Ready for a break again!
Had some of the spicy parsnip soup with a toasted pitta for lunch. LO chicken thighs roasted yesterday turned into chicken and chorizo jambalaya tonight. There are LOs of course 🙃0 -
It looks like I'm going to have a wet week off
☔️ I've put off a couple of journeys one to the New Forest the other to Dorset to visit family I prefer not to drive when it's this wet and even at my age elder sisters have told me not to come 🙄
today was a decluttering day, tackling wardrobes and chest of drawers (under the bed will wait until the cat isn't sleeping on it) I also sorted the shoe rack and jackets, coats etc hanging downstairs. I've decided I'm not going to get into my high heels again haven't not really worn them since WHF and the gout years! I will probably revisit as I've wishfully left some favourites but know i probably won't be comfortable wearing them. I have a large bag for the charity shop and one to recycle as not really that good enough to rehome. Under the bed and under the stairs tomorrow maybe
I didn't fancy soup for lunch so having cooked some sausages yesterday when cooking dinner I had a sausage and pickle sandwich for lunch. I reheated the LO salmon en croute and vegetables for dinner

Made my weekly banana loaf this morning, these days I have more LO bananas than before, I blame Asda, they used to be prepack of five [no loose with delivery], now it's about seven normal or about nine kiddy ones, waste not, or maybe waist, notLunch, last of the HM leek & potato soup plus sample the banana loafDinner, warmed up Morries peppered mackerel fillets, with nuked LO mash & saladFridge will then be empty for Asda delivery tomorrowEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good morning everyone,
Sore today after physio but thankfully don't need to do much apart from chuck on a load of washing and sort out dinner for tonight. My sis is coming over and I'm making a chilli "lasagne" using tortilla wraps instead of pasta. I made the chilli yesterday so really just need to sort out some béchamel.
Fajita stir fry was tasty, will make again. LOs for lunch.0 -
I'm in Brighton and we ate at a pizza restaurant called Pureeza. I have eaten in the one in Camden before. Delicious.
We just had sandwiches, salad and coleslaw for dinner that we bought. The weather hasn't been great as it was pouring earlier. We are going to see Ricky Gervais tonight.0 -
Wet, wet, wet here. Miserable, grey day but wfh so the furthest I’ve been is to get the bin back in from the street 😂
Will have to force myself out to swimming.
LO jambalaya for lunch and my usual beans with toast for early tea.0 -
Unfortunately It's not the best weather to be on the coast Wednesday I hope you had a good time tonight
i spoke to my sister in the New Forest tonight to wish her happy birthday and she tells me their back garden is flooded almost to the back door 🫣 they do get some flooding at the bottom of the garden most years but not normally this bad although it has gotten worst since the 'big house' at the back of their garden cut down a row of trees on the border
My piles for the recycling and charity shop got bigger today as I did some more decluttering too wet to do too much outside, I was also nosy as the house across the road recently sold at auction after a sale fell through 6 months in. Looks like they are already starting work today a skip was delivered and they started filling it. I didn't realised how quick the process was if a auction sale, it is a doer upper like mine was when I brought it so it's going to get noisy 🙄
Last of the chicken soup for lunch, I'm defrosting a turkey drumstick to make stock for the next batch of soup. Lamb Barnsley chop for dinner 😋 I must keep a eye out on the Waitrose meat counter for when they are reduced again, so good 🙂 with jacket potato and vegLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Good morning everyone,
Enjoy Wednesday!
Stormy here this morning but we're not in the main path and it should pass overnight. I hope those in it's main area are safe and secure.
I'm still sore after physio but not as stiff so hope to be more active today.
LOs for lunch and I'm trying this recipe tonight Pesto chicken one-pot | Tesco Real Food we'll have it with boiled baby spuds.2 -
It was tipping it down as we walked to Ricky Gervais and on the way back. We stopped on the way back for a medicinal mulled cider.🤩The show was good. Not for the easily offended!
I had some herbal tea, fresh fruit and a veggie sausage roll for breakfast today. I did buy a Chelsea bun as there was a vegan bakery near the Airbnb. I'm about to try it as we are now in the car driving to Broadstairs.2025 GOALS
