I woke up hungry. I'm having smooth PB on two wholemeal toast with sliced banana. I think it was because I was thinking about nut butter yesterday.
I fancy cocoa too so I will buy some when I go out as I need to buy dog food and go to a cashpoint.
It says it will start raining again at 1 so I need to get a move on!0 -
Realised my soup maker was broken after Id filled it up today, luckily the blender part still works so just blended it and chucked it in a pan to cook. Tomato and garlic based soup today with lots of roasted peppers, onions, assorted veggies thrown in. Also added lentils and veggie sausages which makes it more dinner then lunch!
oh, and made a chocolate courgette cake too.0 -
Grey, damp and murky this morning so pottered around and watched Saturday Kitchen.
Started to brighten up late morning so chucked some sheets in the washer and popped over to a local shopping park to get useful things from The Range and some nice bits from M&S food hall.
Filled pasta, peas and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Washing out on the line 🙃 Then off to Lidl (and Sainsburys for the bits I can’t get in Lidl).
More pottering this afternoon. It’s been a long week! Must do some boring chores tomorrow.
Tapas whilst watching Strictly tonight.0 -
I've not heard of chocolate courgette cake I tend to think beetroot with chocolate 🤔 maybe one to remember next time I have a glut
wet day and it's been really nasty all evening enough to take out the TV 🙄 they still had one of the firework displays I think it was the cricket club tonight it always surprises me how loud I can hear them here as they are over 3 miles away the other side of town. There were a lot of people on FB trying to off load the tickets today 💥 as long as he's indoors his lordship sleeps through them
Chicken soup for lunch 😋 I defrosted one of the YS salmon en croute for dinner and had with green veg and new potatoes there is enough LO for another meal. Just as well as the kitchen floor was clean as I dropped it when taking out of the ninja5 second rule did apply 😁

That is sad about Matthew Perry dying. I read his memoir almost this time last year. I'm sure it came out the 1st of November.
There were fireworks near here last night. I think there was a Halloween parade in Southend, but they weren't coming from that direction so I'm not sure what they were for. They didn't last long and my dog didn't even bark which was unusual!
I have had some wholemeal toast with Flora and Marmite.
I need to use up the veggies and fruit before I go away so I will have to use them today really. I have red peppers, lettuce and tomatoes so maybe a big salad with whatever I'm having. Jacket potatoes maybe... The bananas will have to go in a smoothie.2025 GOALS

Very wet here this morning, with thunder etc last night, not anice day for anyone outsideMy Covid jab has given me a tickly cough I think, one of the side effects a tad short of death
, along with the clocks going back I'm quite happy for it to be grotty out, and so I shan't feel like I'm missing anything by lazing around
Lunch, eggs on toast, something warmDinner, boil in bag kippers from Morries before Use By date arrives, with mash & probably frozen peasEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Another horrid day here as well so like Farway a lazy day for me although I don't have his excuse
I did have a long conversation with my eldest sister she finds Sunday a difficult day now she is widowed more so than the rest of the week
soup for lunch one more portion left. Pork chop, roast potatoes, cauliflower and carrots for dinner. I made a small batch of scones afterwards 😋 I may have to freeze the restLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Brightened up after a murky start here. Got one load of washing mostly dried on the line, there wasn’t enough of a breeze really.
I’ve been for a swim, cleaned the bathroom and made spicy parsnip soup so feel fairly productive 😉
Some of the LO tapas bits for lunch. Made creamy chicken, cannellini bean and leek traybake tonight, served with broccoli. There are LO chicken thighs to make jambalaya tomorrow and 3 portions of the leek/bean mix gone in the freezer - it goes well with salmon or sausages as a quick accompaniment.0 -
Another wet night with a soggy morning, at least the rain has stopped, now just waiting for the "new" storm to arrive this week. Sun's just coming out for a quick lookAsda list completed and delivery on Wednesday, they seem to have sussed out the pork joint pricing fault it's now priced per Kilo not per item, never mind, it was good while it lastedJobs for the day are mundane, read gas meter & renew car breakdown cover, exciting stuffLunch, my HM leek & potato soupDinner, trying again with the boil in bag kippers & mash, I never had those yesterday because I went off the idea by dinner time, and just had the last of my HM apple & blackberry crumble insteadEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I felt a bit chilly last night. It has been raining, but is dry at the moment. I have to go out just as it is supposed to start raining again!
My cats have just been picked up to go to the kennel/cattery. This is the first time I have put them in since we moved here and they aren't used to it. They were really miaowing, poor things! I'm sure they will be fine as they are sharing a "bedroom" together.
I've had a cup of coffee, orange juice and a toasted bagel with Flora.
I'm going out for lunch later.2025 GOALS
