    Good morning everyone,
Thanks Farway, thankfully my balance much more like it today so hoping to catch up on some domestic bits and bobs.
Poor wee Frank has an iffy tum again, however they think it's a bug rather than anything more alarming.
Yesterday DS2 put the back garden to rights after all the building work and pressure washed the slabs. It's the neatest it's been this year, shame it's not sitting out/bbq weather!
Fridge bits for lunch and I've a small rolled lamb leg joint defrosted to roast for dinner. We'll have it with potato gratin, broccoli, carrots and gravy.

  • It is a gorgeous sunny day here, but feeling quite nippy. I got caught in the heavy rain just as I came out of the hairdressers yesterday! I was going to try a cafe that I thought was in Southend shopping centre, but it turned out that it was further than I thought so I just went out and caught the bus home. I had some Mr Organic lentil and tomato soup with buttered tast when I got in, which was lovely and exactly what I wanted.

I have had toast with marg this morning, but I am about to have a sandwich for lunch, my favourite vegan cheese with lettuce and mustard. I am going to batch cook some pasta later as I have three bags of it. I have some squashy tomatoes to put in and I will cook some onions, celery, carrots and peppers as well. I will use either Quorn pieces or lentils for the protein.

I'm hoping my washing will dry if I put it outside today.

  • Yep, bright and sunny here too - good for the soul 🌞

Up doing chores this morning - garden table finally put away in the shed, bed stripped, bedroom dusted and hoovered, two loads of washing out on the line. Then out for lovely Sunday lunch. Back home and remade the bed and ironed everything off the line 😊

Smoked salmon sandwich whilst watching Strictly results this evening.

Hopefully Franks dodgy tum is on the mend Caronc

Pottering day at home and trying to rejig the kitchen about as well as give it a good spring clean, I put the tea/coffee containers, salt pig, utensil holder etc thought the dish washer.  Just have the one deep cupboard to sort and the food larder cupboard to tidy and ensure no old stuff pushed to the back.  I'm sure there is stuff pushed back in the deep cupboard which can be rehomed as it's a cupboard which requires me on my knees as it goes way back to the right so bit of a dumping ground  :#

Soup for lunch, Peewhyeff it's very nice but I don't think it's been anywhere near a Italian wedding!

I defrosted a couple of duck legs and cooked in the pressure cooker with 5 spice etc, I had for dinner with rice and veg the other will be eat as LOs 🙂

  • Wow, I left my washing on the line last night and I just checked it and it feels wetter than when I got it out of the machine. It must be the morning dew! I will leave it out for a few hours, but might have to bring it back in to dry.

The workman is here taking up my flooring so I am upstairs with my dog so she won't bark. I have had a cup of tea with sugar and oat milk and I have a sandwich in foil to have later. I'm hoping he won't take too long to take it up. I have wave sounds on and I might try and finish my Arnold Schwarzenegger book in a minute.

Dull with promise of sun later and maybe some French rain sneaking in from Brambling's direction

I have one of those cupboards Brambling, seemed nice when I could bend down there, but now it's just not practical. My pressure cooker is lurking at the back of it :( , which is another reason for me getting a worktop Ninja or similar one fine day

I've taken some HM stewed apple & blackberry out to defrost, making a crumble this afternoon because it's ideal crumble weather, and I have found some of my lockdown Ambrosia tinned custard which is getting close to use by date, what better reason could there be for a crumble?

Lunch, I'm going to try out the Asda cheapo frozen sausages, AF and in a sarnie. Trail run as I'm still trying to find the ideal sausage, if there is such a thing
Dinner, defrosting one of my salmon fillets, pan fried in EVO + butter with new potatoes & salad

    Good morning everyone,
Yep I have a cupboard like that!
The vet checked Frank yesterday and thinks he's picked up a wee tummy bug and it should settle down in a few days. Poor wee love's system has taken a real hammering so it's not surprising he's picking things up especially as he's now back out and about. Hector had a dicky tum too during the night but DS2 wasn't surprised as he'd snaffled in at something icky on his walk. He seems fine this morning so hopefully that's all it was.
Chilly here this morning but supposed to turn sunny and warm up a bit this afternoon.
Admin, admin and more admin on the "to do" today.
LOs for lunch and JO's sweet and sour pork from "7 ways" for dinner.
  • More dealing with nonsense today so don’t feel like I’ve actually achieved anything…hopefully will make up for it wfh tomorrow. Really quite chilly when I went out this morning but very mild this evening.

Portion of nana’s magic soup and a cheese topped bread roll for lunch. Made creamy bacon and sweetcorn pasta tonight, served with tenderstem broccoli. LO pasta for lunch tomorrow 🙃

    Good morning everyone,
Frank was back at the vets yesterday morning as still voiding everything. Checks all okay so has been prescribed doggy immodium. It seems to have worked.  :) Hector's tum has returned to normal, so just been a temporary upset. I'm looking after Ari this afternoon and then my sister is coming for dinner this evening. I'm cooking sausages, HM onion gravy, mash, mashed swede and green beans. LO sweet and sour for lunch.
