Damp here, well dripping really, it's been raining but taking breather for nowUp to get my feet done earlier, but came home without bothering visiting any shops, only having just had a deliveryWednesday2000 said:I did order some new tinned soup in the shopping as it was on offer so I might have that with some toast.Tried the on offer Asda smoked mackerel yesterday, not really to my liking, I's honey glazed, like ham, which may sound good, but I prefer fish to taste of fish not pudding. Normally I buy the peppered ones, but thought I'd give these a tryLunch, back to grilled cheese on toastDinner, It's LOs, LO honey mackerel, LO nuked mash, plus some salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Heavy rain most of the day here 🌧
WFH so didn’t need to brave it luckily. More productive day but still plenty of nonsense, very glad to have made it to the weekend.
Spinach and ricotta tortellini with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Tuna steak with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight. Hmm, reading it back, quite heavy on spinach and sun dried tomatoes today 😂…luckily it’s shopping day tomorrow! Soup making on the agenda over the weekend.0 -
Seems to be heavy on the tuna as well JKS 😁 some times that the joy of CFO
With weather like this I don't miss driving to work no more trying to work out which route would be less flooded 🙄 Quiet work day for me so a nice round off to a busy week, the boss and I did have a amusing 45 mins going though a list of 'I wants' from the business even if they haven't missed the deadline there was no way so much work could be done in the timescales even if we were doing nothing else it was a sizeable project 🤔 a replied was drafted with some bold, underline and slightly sarcastic comments from my boss, he has had a bad week! I'm glad I'm only working 3 days next week and then I'm off until the 7th 😁
Trip to Waitrose tonight with a short F&V list but the YSs called my name, I was a nice sister and brought a half side (500g) of salmon for £5 rather than £15+ and dropped off at hers on the way home. I did pick up 2 packs of their poached salmon and a couple of packs of salmon en croute for a £6 for my freezer not bad £1 per portion for salmon all other YS weren't worth me breaking my list any further
roast tomato soup from the freezer for lunch. LO salmon from last nice for dinner with chipped LO new potatoes and salad and a boiled egg as there was only a small amount of salmon leftLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Farway - tinned soup is good to have in the house if you get ill. I am going to make sure I have at least 3 tins in the cupboard at all time during the winter.
I got totally rained on yesterday even though I took my big golf style umbrella. It looks like it has been raining this morning, but not at the moment so hopefully I can avoid it walking to the bus stop and back when I go out.
I had a Tesco Plant Chef Vegaroni pasta for dinner last night with a big salad. They brought it as a substitution, but I really liked it so I will buy it again. It reminded me of the spicy Lloyd Grossman pasta sauce which I really like.
I have had a coffee and a sandwich for breakfast.

Soggy morning but a blue sky is trying hard to take overWoke early and up in the dark, haven't gained much time though
, just frittered along the way
That was a good YS Brambling, lucky sister!Meals for the day are very undecided, part of me wants to try out "roasting" in the AF, carrots & parsnips, then torn between tray bake with some spuds chucked in. No doubt come the time I will have decided, probably a frozen pizza knowing meLunch, stale bread LO, so toast is looking likely, againEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good morning everyone,
Excellent YS haul Brambling.
Still feeling a bit meh so another quiet day planned. The wind has died back overnight and I'm hoping now the storm has passed here my balance will settle. Anti-viral cream has really soothed my sore nose though one side is still very swollen!
Couldn't decide last night if I fancied savoury mince or sausage casserole so cooked a sausage and mince stew. With mash and veg it was lovely. There's a portion for the freezer and LOs for lunch. I've chicken legs defrosting to roast later, we'll have them with salad, HM coleslaw and HM oven chips.

Did finally stop raining but has been a grey and damp feeling day…
Out at a voluntary event this morning. Did a food shop, made soup, prepped dinner and pottered around this afternoon. Suddenly it was time for Strictly 😀
Smashed avocado and sliced tomatoes on toast for lunch. Sausage, new potato and carrot traybake tonight with peas and sugar snaps.0 -
Definitely a wet day here, I went out after lunch and it was horrid my sister and I went around to a mutual friend walking from my sisters house as the parking at my friend is nearly impossible and it seemed a good idea as it's 10 min walk. We were a little wet when we got there☔️🙄 home in time for strictly and just as the music started another sister called me 😣
lunch was a pitta stuffed with hummus and grated carrot. I made Italian wedding soup this morning using turkey mince to make the meatballs so dinner was a large bowl with a bread roll

At last a sunny day here. Blue sky but a bit chillyHope you're feeling a bit better now, CaronI finished up with the tray bake option yesterday, the idea was better than the result, it was OK but somehow tasted better while I was thinking about making itFresh made loaf this morning, sarnies for lunch, probably salad bits oneDinner, I've taken a couple of very small, pork loins out to defrost, and will grill them plus nuked jacket potato + salad bits should do fineEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
