  • The Quorn stir fry was delicious yesterday. I went through the freezer to see what I had in there and I have quite a few half used bags of veg so I might do another stir fry for dinner. I did get out some lentil and veg pasta from the freezer too so that will be my lunch with some salad.

I think I will have toasted crumpets for breakfast, maybe with PB. It is very dreary and rainy today. I need to wash the bed covers as I haven't done it in a while! I already had a cup of peppermint tea, but I might have another cup to warm me up.

    Good morning everyone,
Birthday dinner went well, the toad was demolished and there's just some scraps of veg and gravy LO which I'll have for lunch.
Too many dishes for the dishwasher last night so more tea is needed before I tackle the debris. After that I hope to tidy out one of the freezers to make space for Christmas goodies, I have my butcher order in and it's getting delivered at the end of the month.
Spag bol for dinner, I cooked the ragu on Monday so an easy one tonight.

Another one here with dreary & rain, tipping down but supposed to ease later
I went to Morries, YS mooch + bottle bank. Only YS I bought was a raspberry trifle ;) , oops, one of the five a day though.
However, I did find dinner of sorts, silverside on offer, so bought a small joint which I'll get in the oven on low & slow later
Come checkout the machine just kept pumping vouchers out, but these are the CBA sort, spend over £20 each week over next four weeks, scan this, do that, and maybe get More points, which are virtually worthless anyway, Nah, I think not worth any special effort by me

Made a fresh loaf overnight in Panny, so lunch is salad sarnie
Dinner, silverside + trifle. What to accompany the silverside is TBA, apart from mustard

I may have to investigate Asda Farway I haven't had a delivery from them in at least a couple of years 🤔

As I've mentioned before, I find them reasonable, both in price & attitude, for instance subs are charged at whatever price the original order was, unless it's less in which case you pay less, and at least for me, mistakes seem mainly to be in my favour. There are problems sometimes, midget Iceberg lettuce or tree trunk carrots, but generally they are OK, and if you combine with your W8rose hauls you'd have the best of both worlds IMO
I have annual midweek delivery pass, again fair because if I don't use it to equal paid for delivery then I get some money back,

  • Yep, another one with wet, grey weather. Did finally stop raining during the afternoon but felt quite chilly.

Another Wednesday of meetings but mostly productive and finished on time. Had to drag myself out to swimming this evening.

Slight disorganisation meant lunch was a supermarket sandwich. Prawn and green bean Thai green curry with noodles tonight 😋

I haven't had a SM delivery in months and my next one won't be until the Christmas one, so maybe in the new year I'll give them a try again, we don't have one in town the nearest one is in the next town.  My Waitrose coupons this week are all items could be because I haven't been in and used them for a while, I don't really need anything other than milk and bananas but I'm tempted to pop in tomorrow night for the £1 off a small chicken and a rump steak 🤔

back to back meeting this morning from 9 - 1 I hate 9am meetings my brain needs time to process SMs I need a second mug of tea for that,  it also rained until nearly 7pm, I had to go on mute to dry his lordship as he came in and wanted to lie on the keyboard 🙄

beans on toast for lunch using up a half tin of beans.  Mince and onion slice for dinner brought YS at M&S and taking up freezer room, I don't think I'll buy again unless really good YS, it was AF and I had it with some green veg

  • I'm having a smoothie and a toasted crumpet with Flora. I started a very interesting book last night by Kia Abdullah. I had to get to sleep, but it was past 2!

I am going to carry on with the book today. I am getting my eyebrows done later this afternoon but I might be able to finish it before as I read quickly.

It feels chilly, but at least it isn't raining! I am going to have a shower and get dressed and put some laundry on. I will probably have a tin of soup with another crumpet for lunch before I leave.

I might make a curry tonight.

Sunny at the moment, which is good because I have to go out later for a Volunteer meeting, feels colder though.

    Lunch, cold LO silverside sarnie
Dinner, with the meeting and probably later finish, LO cold silverside & probably salad
BTW, the Morries YS trifle was excellent, I'd even pay full price for one

    Good afternoon,
The sun is shining but the wind is freezing. Good drying day though, it's a shame that for once my laundry is up to date.
    :D
I'm to my eyes (again) in voluntary admin so that's keeping me out of mischief!
LO pasta for lunch and I'm trying this recipe tonight, though cooking it on the hob rather than in the oven. Korean pork and red pepper stew | Tesco Real Food

I've put my heating on this morning the first time this winter so I can't complain and about blast took the chill off the house all day.

I went back to sleep after I turned my alarm clock off this morning, just as well the office is downstairs as it was 8.40am, two minutes shower and breakfast after i started work, glad it wasn't yesterday when I had a 9am meeting   :# it left me on the wrong foot all day 🙄

a quick trip to Waitrose after work to pick up a small shop including a small chicken and a rump steak to use by vouchers.  I left my list at home but as it was so small managed to remember everything and only added a couple of items 😁

Roast tomato soup from the freezer with a crumpet and melted cheese for lunch.  Spicy Pork mince with.it's of diced veg for dinner served in lettuce cups, a bit like Nasi Goreng without the rice or egg 🙂

Another busy day but didn’t finish too late, drove home in the rain though, and the roads were really busy both ways today.

Portion of nana’s magic soup and a cheese topped roll from the freezer stash for lunch. Sausages and a portion of the cannellini bean and leek stew from the freezer for tea. A very easy CFO day 😉

Have caught up on some telly programmes and done next week’s meal plan tonight but not much else, feels like a long week…
