A nice gentle start to the work week, I'm not complaining 😁 but no one mentioned the Q word!

A mix day weather wise, it's getting a little windy tonight, I only know because it turned my outside light on.  Bins are still upright so it isn't too bad

i still finding remains of crumble in the kitchen, I'm annoyed because no more apples or blackberries in the freezer 😕  my sister agreed with Farway a dropped crumble was better for the waistline. Between washing the kitchen again lunchtime I made stock from my chicken carcass to make soup tomorrow 😋

Cheese on toast with pickle for lunch which managed to set off the smoke alarm twice not sure why as it wasn't burning for a change, I usually catch the edges 🤷‍♀️ at least I won't have to test the battery for a while 😁 I used the chicken which don't go into the stock and made a noodles, vegetable and chicken type dish, tasty but probably not repeatable

Just tipping down & dark, awful weather. Another day for snuggling down and doing SFA
I see reports that Pluto may be visible now, Ha Ha. Can't even see the sky

I went with frozen pizza last night, so still have the LO braised steak & today seems just the day for a nice warming meal

I've made another loaf, so it's salad sarnie for lunch
Dinner, the LO braise beef, and I'll make more mash to go with it

It's Asda delivery tomorrow morning and so far no warnings of low stock items. From memory, they'll soon start running out of normal, low profit, items, like yoghurt, as the Christmas stuff, high margins, like cream, takes over

    Good morning everyone,
I spoke too soon about missing Debi as it was wild again overnight. The wind has died back but it's wet and miserable out.
My sis and nephew are coming for dinner. I prepped a tray of Swedish meatballs (IKEA website recipe) yesterday so just the veg, mash and cream sauce to sort out later. I've no Lingonberry sauce I'm sure redcurrant or cranberry will do instead.
Last night's curry was tasty, will make again though will cut the cauli into larger florets and probably just use frozen peas rather than sugar snaps. Needless to say LOs for lunch.
  • I popped out to the shop last night and it was very windy, but quite mild. It looks rainy and miserable today. I have been doing a lot of reading the past week so I am going to carry on today.

We have the men coming round at midday to hopefully take the dehumidifiers away with them. I wasn't sure how long they would be and they will be in the kitchen so I had a big breakfast of a tin of spicy bean soup, a toasted bagel and a banana.

I'm still coughing! My reflexologist had to cancel our appointment tomorrow as her husband has Covid which is probably for the best. I have the hygienist Friday and it is already paid for so I hope I'm completely better by then as it is a pain to reschedule.

  • Another grey, damp day although it is strangely mild.

Wfh this morning but needed to be in this afternoon so packed up my lunch (LO bacon and roast veg pasta) and headed in via the petrol station to avoid remembering I needed petrol at home time 😉

Just had usual Tuesday early tea of beans with toast. I must go out in the dark and damp to swim in a bit…

Farway shared his weather again, we've had some heavy rain late morning

A day with no meetings is always a good day 😁 so some catching up done from my to do list

fish finger and tartar sauce sandwich for lunch and I made a big pan of chicken soup with the stock I made yesterday, I made the stock in the ninja and added too much water for a small chicken so some stock pots thrown in, I think when I always make in the same saucepan I make by eye knowing now much water to add.

I dozed off this evening so grabbed a quick dinner using a small cheese and tomato pizza from the freezer with added veg and cheese

  • The walls still haven't dried out yet so we have to have them checked in a week and if they are still wet they will have to do another investigation into the water leak! Grr.

I have had a banana and some Alpro yoghurt. It is sunny today, but I feel chilly. I'm putting the heating on for an hour.

    Good morning everyone,
Fingers crossed they dry out soon Wednesday.
    The Swedish meatballs were demolished!
Domestics and bit of admin today. I cooked extra spuds yesterday to make smoked haddock fishcakes tonight. I've not had a fish cake in yonks so really looking forward to them. Fridge bits for lunch.

Day started sunny, but clouding over now & rain on its way for a good soaking tomorrow
My Asda delivery arrived, one sub but five items missing & unavailable, nothing desperate but no cheapo Christmas pud or wholemeal bread flour at this time

Spot of clerical, renewed my BB contact, price increased of course, but it works, and checking I only found which I've not heard of "Pop" one a couple of quid cheaper with no track record, so sticking this year with what I know

    Lunch was salad sarnie
Dinner, LO cold pizza and some salad

Another work day very much like all the others 🙄 just a couple of meetings.  Working from the office tomorrow the first time in a year and only to pack up the office and do loads of shredding they aren't renewing the lease the decision is it will be cheaper to hire out a room in a hotel if required as it is so infrequent.  I'll have to be organised in the morning

chicken soup for lunch, not quite up to my usual standard but I had expected that. FS Pork and apple burger with coleslaw and sweet potato fries for dinner
