  • Long day of long meetings for me, felt exhausted considering all I had done was sit down and eat biscuits all day 😂

Had about 10 minutes to eat the tuna mayo sarnie I had made and taken with me, along with some cherry tomatoes.

Forced myself to swim tonight and came home and had tuna steak with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes. So hopefully balanced things out a bit…

Very wet & dreary this morning, not very nice for your return to the office Brambling, I suspect a lot of firms are doing the same as yours, closing or reducing floor spaces of offices etc.

Lunch I fancy a sausage sandwich
Dinner, roasting the Asda fresh chicken that was delivered yesterday, undecided on the rest, veg tray bake or what?

How they grow :o , DGD who is on horticulture apprenticeship near Aberdeen, she has a chain saw exam on Friday, now that is the last thing I thought of when reading a Ladybird book with her

    Good morning everyone,
DS2 has headed to the office early doors, he had to scrape the car after the temperatures dipped overnight. Hector is off to the beach with my sis and Ari for a good run around so he'll only need a quick trundle when DS2 returns tonight.
The smoked haddock fishcakes were delicious, I'm not sure if it was because I made them particularly well or just that I hadn't had them for such a long time. Either way they hit the spot! We had them with cauli cheese and peas. LO cauli cheese for lunch. :)
Dinner will be pasta with a chorizo, pepper, tomato and pesto sauce.
  • I felt as if I was coming down with something again last night. I felt freezing cold again and got into bed at 8.30 and got up at 11 this morning.

I called up to cancel my dentist appointment for tomorrow just in case. The receptionists at the doctor and dentist called up later to book me in for other appointments as so many people had cancelled appointments so there must be some bugs going around here!

I went for a walk and bought some cleaning stuff and sinus spray and feel a lot better. It isn't even cold outside. Quite mild.

Asda delivery arrived as I got home so I had a lentil cottage pie that I bought on offer. It was quite nice. I had some clementines too.

  • Ooft, another long, busy day. Very much looking forward to my catch up wfh day tomorrow. Popped to M&S food on way home to get my free with sparks card bananas 🍌

Nana’s magic soup and a cheese topped roll for lunch, eaten in a 10 minute gap between meetings. Just made a cheat smoked mackerel pilaf with pouch rice and curry powder, chucked in peas and sugar snaps.

Long day for me 🥱 I took the slightly longer route into the office as the shorter route often floods when it rains.  Busy day and some physical work I tried to persuade my younger colleague she should be crawling under desks.  It seems HR aren't aware the office is beginning closed and we aren't 'to shout about it' we are all still contracted for office work although no one has really gone back. I reminded my boss I'm also contracted to work in that location so I won't be travelling over 75 minutes each way to the  nearest office if they try to get us back 🙄

Out to night to watch NT Live showing of Skylight with a friend it was very good most of it just two actors but very long after a busy day 2 hour 45 minute including the interval.

Subway for lunch on the boss,  i grabbed a bowl of HM chicken soup for dinner as I had about a hour after I got home from work

Sun's out after yesterday's gloom, looks nice through a window but not sure if arm enough to poke a nose out.
Asda delivery arrived as I got home so I had a lentil cottage pie that I bought on offer. It was quite nice. I had some clementines too.
Oooh, just had a look if it could suit me, I don't think it would, the reviews are very negative, plus I'm not a big lentil lover, so I think I'll pass on this one, but I see lots of other MFOs on the same offer, so I'll have a browse later, I have spotted veg lasagne there, and I used to like that

Lunch, back to grilled cheese on stale bread toast
Dinner, some cold LO roast chicken, plus HM AF chips + salad

  • Farway - It was okay, nothing amazing, but quite tasty for a ready meal. They didn't have the spaghetti and veggie balls in stock which was annoying as that was the reason I got the offer. I have the sweet potato katsu curry in the fridge which sounds nice.

It is weird how popular katsu is these days, I hadn't even heard of it a few years ago.

I feel better today. I am going to make sure I have sinus spray in my medicine drawer from now on as that seems to have done the trick. I am still tired, but I might make sure I get dressed so at least that might mean I go out for a short walk later. I won't if I stay in my night clothes! :D

I am about to have a toastie with vegan ham, mustard and lettuce and a cup of builder's tea.

    Good morning everyone,
If the RM doesn't appeal Farway why not make your own using a tin of lentils for ease?
    Dry and cold here today.
Tesco have been, all present and correct.  :)
I'm enjoying a cuppa after stashing the groceries but need to crack on a clean the bathroom and do some laundry.
LO pasta for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner, might involve turkey mince as the pack I bought to make a meatloaf has more than I need for the mix.
  • Made it to the weekend 🙌

Wfh day…got a few small bits done but none of the bigger tasks that need time and concentration due to having to get involved in stuff because other people hadn’t done what they should have 🙄

Put a wash load through and out on the line - the smaller bits just needed a few minutes in the tumble dryer but the heavier things are on the airer, not windy enough I think.

Filled pasta, peas, LO roast chicken, sun dried tomatoes and a few cherry tomatoes for lunch. Made Thai green curry with the rest of the chicken and sugar snap peas, served with noodles - and wine 😉
