  • I like the Linda McCartney sausage rolls and the plant based Tesco mini ones the best. I don't particularly like the LM sausages as there are much better alternatives now.

I'm still feeling a bit ropey after reflexology. I only wanted plain food so had some toast with a tiny bit of Flora for breakfast and then I had pasta with tomato and basil sauce for lunch. I think that was the gluten free pasta, it tastes the same as normal pasta to me.

I felt chilly this morning, but I just went out for a walk and it is quite mild.

With ref to the Linda mc sausages a friend spent a couple of years telling me how wonderful they are (the red onion and rosemary ones) so I finally gave in and brought a couple of packs when on a good offer.  I used one pack so two more portions of casserole in freezer which I may pick the sausage out of and will give her the other pack, all I can taste is the rosemary but the beans and tomatoes is very tasty without them.  I won't be listening to her again  :D

Horrid wet day after a very wet night, I'm glad not to be driving to work as there are too many flood areas between home and the office whichever way I go. At least work was quiet today

I used a soft Pita pocket lunch time stuffed with cheese and onion and toasted in the AF.  Mushroom omelette and AF chips for dinner with some fried tomatoes

  • In bed as had a very early start which seemed to catch up with me very quickly, I may have been grumpy with certain people today 😬

Office day but three meetings so only a few little tasks done in between times.

Rinse and repeat lunch as I made up two boxes of the roast carrot, lentil and feta salad. Pasta puttanesca tonight with the last of the broccoli. Managed to spill quite a lot of the pasta water over the hob, the front of the oven and the floor 🙄

A very odd weather day, it was same as you here, but a friend was walking over NT Petworth park and said it was fine there.

I went down with mini lurgy yesterday afternoon, shivering and off my dinner. Added extra topping onto bed and seem fine this morning, a bit of a Froggy throat though, not that it matters because I've nothing planned anyway

The LM veg sausages, I think next try will be the Asda OMV vegan No Pork ones, on offer, £2.50 and reviews are good

Made a loaf overnight so fresh bread to tempt me
Due to lurgy I have the tuna / mayo mix LO, so it's that inside a fresh bread sarnie for lunch
Dinner, depends on if lurgy returns, assuming it doesn't then I have a pack of Asda chicken quarters, on offer. I'll roast them same as I do M & S ones and compare them.
Not sure how many in Asda pack, but odd as it may seem M & S appear to be cheaper on the face of it, I'll know once opened

    Good morning everyone,
Glad the lurgy hasn't developed Farway, hope it stays away.
Miserable here again with a distinctly cold wind. Tesco have been so after a cuppa I'll crack on with some chores.
I've had a notion for tinned oxtail soup so a can was added to the grocery order and that will be lunch. Dinner is the usual Friday tbc.

I found that our Sainsbury's who only had 1kg packs of them cost £2.25 the pack I brought contained 5 skinny ones.  I preferred the 2 pack for £1.50 in M&S, just checked and that's £2.50 a kilo but a pack of 2 fat quarters suit CFO better and my freezer space  :D whilst i was looking  I see Waitrose are £1.59 for 2 which is £3 a kilo I've brought  them YS and they are as meet the M&S standard!

No idea what I'm going to eat today, nothing out of the freezer yet so will update later

  • Only worked this morning and from home so got everything done that I wanted to. Had an easy afternoon of bits of laundry, voluntary admin, meal planning, reading and catch up telly.

Scrambled eggs and smashed avocado on toast for lunch. Chargrilled tuna steak with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight. I’ve also had a scoop of mint choc chip ice cream 😋

Other than a 20min heavy shower at 4pm it's been a lovely day, just ashame I was working 🙂 I did claw back some of the hours I worked Tuesday evening and had a two hour lunch break and did some pottering in the garden

i have a tomato situation 🙄 the cherry tomatoes are from the one plant left in the greenhouse which hasn't been watered this week other than the door left opened.  The rest mainly plum were ripening on my window sill.  My sister has offered some a new home so I'll drop off some tomorrow, I declined to make a pasta sauce or roasted tomatoes for her.  I'll swap for a courgette, she is keeping a eye on her neighbours garden and was to,d to pick them, she has five to find something to do with.  The plum tomatoes were mislabelled they should have been baby plum but they are nice tomatoes so I may grow intentionally next year.

lunch was a quick beans on toast. A lazy dinner of pasta with a roast tomato and vegetable sauce, the air fryer roasts the tomatoes in about 10 minutes depending on  size

  • I saw A Haunting in Venice yesterday and really enjoyed it! I thought it was very well done.

I have only had coffee and water so far, but I am going to make a big breakfast after my shower. We are out tonight in London. I think I might take a scarf or even maybe my coat in case it gets cold. It is sunny outside, but there was a chill in the air last night and this morning.

    Good morning everyone,
Cracking bowl of tomatoes Brambling  :)
Sunny but chilly here today. We've some wild weather forecast from this evening. DS2 has gone with Hector to meet up with DS1, their Dad and Frank. It will be the first time the pooches will have been together since Frank was ill. It will hopefully get the re-introduction mayhem over before we have Frank for an overnight tomorrow. They are heading to a local park where there's an area where the dogs can get a good run about.
Fridge bits for lunch and I've burgers defrosting for dinner.
