I was just saying on another thread about needing new tights Caronc. I wore them out for the first time in months the other day and they kept falling down. People on here recommended the Snag brand.
I had a smoothie and went out to pick up the ibuprofen gel from the chemist. I decided to go to Superdrug to get some conditioner. I got a lot of steps in, but my hair was all tangled when I got in as it is extremely windy.
I had soup and a roll when I got home.0 -
Another nice day off, shame about the weather but one bed stripped and remade, one remade, two bedrooms dusted and hoovered, food shop done, gift voucher spent, more voluntary admin and had my toenails painted 🙃
Back to work tomorrow unfortunately, I could cope with being retired 😂
LO tuna pesto pasta for lunch. Beans with toast for early tea as I’m off swimming this evening.0 -
Dry at the moment but wind + rain on its way, it's just leaving Devon.Asda delivery on time, five items missing or subbed, nothing important, except no lettuce, but given the weather that maybe a disguised blessingHope I'm not coming down with "something", I was off food yesterday and felt shivery despite the temperature. Feeling better this morning, so hoping a good kip has fixed whatever it wasLunch, grilled YS mild cheddar on toast. The YS mild is a bit plastic like but ideal for such a mealDinner, I may try out the Linda M veggie sausages just delivered, with HM AF chips & eggsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Yes I've heard Snag tights are very good Wednesday, the ones I have fit fine I just hate wearing them!
DS2 headed to Glasgow first thing to Frank sit. Frank is coming on literally in leaps and bounds but it will be another few weeks before he can go to doggy day care.
Pie was well received by sis and nephew- despite being a huge one there's no leftovers!
Domestics and admin today and this evening it's "Meal plan Wednesday" so I'll have browse and see if I can get some inspiration for the week ahead. The freezers are laden so we're not short of options!
Fridge bits for lunch and chicken, pea and rice traybake for dinner.0 -
I had a banana before I left for reflexology with the new therapist and then had a wholemeal roll with vegan cheddar when I got in. My foot hurt in the same place as the last two times I had it done. She said afterwards that is my digestive system and my adrenal glands so she thinks it is to do with stress.
It was raining, but I luckily missed it walking there and back. Very blustery again.2025 GOALS

I didn't get to post yesterday after working until after 10pm last night my internet died, i did the usual switch off and back on again etc and then was able to check via my phone and saw that sky broadband was down in a lot of places in the county, it could have fallen over sooner so i could have got out of unplanned and unpaid overtime! At least it was working this morning so i didn't have to go into the office. I swear every time the boss leaves the country we have major technical issues and my senior colleague likes the title but can't cope with having to make decisions I suppose i should appreciate that she logged in and 'helped' as she had only worked from 11.30 - 2.15 yesterday due to appointments (whilst the cat's away..... and all that )
I grabbed back 30 mins of time lunchtime and took extra time to go into town as i need a new form to renew my medical exemption card typically it will run out 6 months before I'm 60 but 6 months savings is worth doing for me (very MSE). To get the free parking in Sainsbury the surgery is next door, i did get the few bits i need this week and then got stopped at the self service checkout so they could check my self scanning was correctit's one of those weeks! Even thought I know i have scanned every item i always feel guilty when they check
Lunch was falafel picked up YS with salad in a wrap. Dinner will be vegetarian sausage and bean casserole made Monday using Linda Mc sausages which are a little rosemary heavy for me but I will eat the other two portions now in the freezer i used some of my 'spare' tomatoes and some oven roasted ones cooked when the oven was on Sunday.
I made have a mid week gin laterLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Gin sounds well deserved, Brambling 😉
Full day of meetings for my first day back after a long weekend but they were fairly productive one way or another (may have cleared some emails during one…)
Lunchbox of chilli and cumin roasted carrots, feta and lentils, with yet more homegrown salad leaves. Quick prawn and broccoli sweet chilli noodles after swimming tonight.
Thoroughly enjoying Celebrity Race Across the World, I haven’t watched any of the “normal” series but may seek them out after this one finishes.0 -
I'm not a fan of gin, but my brother likes it. I find it too sour.
I felt wiped out after the reflexology yesterday and I had a 2 hour nap! I felt better when I woke up, but I still went to bed at 11 last night and had another 7 hours sleep, according to my Fitbit.
I have my mobile hairdresser coming over this morning to cut our hair. She has increased her prices to include petrol, but it is stil much cheaper than going to a local place.
I need to go and tidy up and vacuum downstairs. I might have a veggie sausage toastie after she leaves.2025 GOALS

Back to sun shine after yesterday's stormy weather, much cooler thoughBrambling said:Dinner will be vegetarian sausage and bean casserole made Monday using Linda Mc sausages which are a little rosemary heavy for meI think it used to be textured soya protein then, now I see it is pea protein. Not for me, luckily there are vegetarians in the family, so I'll pass the remainder of the packet on to themI still have the LM sausage rolls to try, fingers crossed they have not been improved because I used to like themLunch another grilled YS cheese on toastDinner, there are some decent baking sized spuds in my fresh delivery, so nuked jacket spud with tinned tuna / Mayo & salad, just got enough lettuce leaves left to look like a saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
I used to like L Mc sausages but wasn't impressed the last time I had them, weird texture and strange after taste.
Calmer here today though more rain due later.
Early call from sis, could she drop off Ari as her laptop had died and she had to leg it the office and my nephew was on early start. Both pooches were very excited to see each other, you'd think they'd been apart for months not just over a day. I think it will be a day of mayhem based on their antics so far! Thankfully I didn't have much planned.
Tesco order to finalise and then I'll see what the day brings.
LOs for lunch. Yesterday I roasted a tray of tomatoes so will process these later and use some as the basis for tonight's dinner- pasta with chorizo, pesto and tomato. Should be enough to freeze some. Doubt I'll get enough more to make roasting another batch worthwhile, the plants are really failing now and there's not masses of green ones either. Just been a rubbish growing season this year.0
