The little cat is still around he spent the morning asleep on my doormat  (I checked! It is a he and he has had his op ✂️ 😁)  he so wants to come in but I've advised him that wouldn't happen.  His lordship has spent most of the day sleeping next to me being a PITA with his head on the keyboard. He does have the occasional duvet day so I hope it's not because of the wee chap, he did 'help' me in the greenhouse lunchtime he supervised

After finishing sorting the greenhouse lunchtime I have more tomatoes than expected from those at the back, they may end up frozen raw to add to things during the winter, I have a colander full of small tomatoes with some plum tomatoes as well. I may take more to my sister tomorrow 😁

lunch was a cream cheese and smoke salmon bagel after gardening, I was working alone again this afternoon so was able to eat and work. Dinner was nice and easy lasagna from the freezer I do like to keep some lasagna in the freezer but will need to make room before I make the next batch as I usually make 6 portions, I'll have to check the HM RM draw to see if there is any left

  • The soup I made was delicious, I meant to put in a tin of drained lentils after I blitzed it, but I forgot so I will put it in with the leftovers. That will be lunch today along with the last of the loaf of bread.

I am having a ready made lasagne with a big salad for dinner.

Breakfast will be toast and a smoothie.

The insurance didn't cover the dental work for my dog so that is another £600 bill!

I had a GP phone call yesterday and she is prescribing me ibuprofen gel for the osteoarthritis in my hands. I am seeing her face to face next week.

I haven't got much on today. An Ikea delivery and an Asda delivery.

Another sunny day, I went up to volunteer border watering the large pots first thing because forecast is a hot day ahead, I may water my pots at the front if I can rustle up some energy later

That reminded me Caron, have to complete my Asda order today, actually I have few days spare, but I like to do it now to get it over & done with, but already cucumber is out of stock online which is hardly a disaster

Lunch, another ploughman style I think
Dinner, I have LO savoury mince thing but don't fancy it today, so some posh breaded cod fillet out defrosting for F & HM AF chips tonight

    Good morning everyone,
Haven't watched the Woman in Wall JKS, DS2 doesn't fancy it so I'll keep it for when he's away. We started watching "Dear Child" on Netflixs, I'm not sure "enjoying" is the right word as it's pretty unnerving ....Dear Child: Cast, Release Date, and Everything to Know About the Movie Based on Liebes Kind - Netflix Tudum
Cold and grey here. DS2 has taken Hector to the groomers and I'm enjoying a lazy morning.
Scotch egg and salad or a BLT for lunch. HM chicken and black bean enchiladas for dinner.

I've been recording Woman in the Wall but haven't got around to watching it yet.

A hot and muggy day here but at least it was dry, next door had a birthday party/BBQ for their 8 year daughter with lots of family there, did mean I had problems finding somewhere to park when I can in this afternoon but it is rare occurrence so i'm not complaining and they are just all leaving now

I went out to lunch with my sister, just a sausage and onion marmalade baguette at the local strawberry farm, they have a really nice cafe which they have just extended.  We shared a slice of Bakewell tart afterwards with a cuppa. My sister was showing me details for the North Coast 500 Caronc, hinting for a trip to Scotland next year 😁 I've suggested we cost air or train fare and hire car.

I airfried a chicken leg for dinner and made a lentil and carrot Moroccan salad to go with it 😋 there are LOs

  • Fairly lazy day but I do have 4 before I go back to work 🙃

Three loads of washing dried on the line and been for a swim. Filled pasta with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes with some homegrown salad leaves for lunch. Chopped up the traybake LOs tonight and pan fried them, served with dressed salad leaves 😋
  • I woke up today extremely tired as I went to bed after 2 last night. My dog was barking so much that I got up when my husband let her out into the garden. She was obviously trying to warn us as there is a hole in our fence on one side and a panel has been ripped off the other side of the fence. Our neighbour was in her garden and said her gate had been kicked in during the night too. I did report it to the non-emergency police number, but I got an email saying it was closed as it has to be £5,000 worth of damage for them to do anything.

*Sigh* this is one of the reasons why I left London as I was sick of the crime.

Woman in the Wall keeps coming up for me to watch. I might watch an episode to see if I like it.

We watched another Denzel Washington film last night, Unstoppable, it is about a train that goes out of control based on a true story. I had seen it before, but it was back in 2010. Quite good!

I'm quite hungry this morning... I'm not sure what to have.

Wednesday, it must have made a racket whoever broke the gate & fences, do you think they were after anything or just downright vandalism?.
Very infuriating especially with lack of police response, I wouldn't expert full on blue lights & helicopters but do you have a crime number at least?

Dull, windy and cooler here this morning, ideal day for catching up on Beechgrove & Gardeners' World with a slice of HM banana bread

Lunch, given the weather I fancy a brunch type, I have bacon misshapes, so I expect some will be fine for grilling, along with a couple of eggs
Dinner, unless I think of something else, it's nuked LO mince casserole thing

The neighbour just came over and said her brother had looked at the damage from the other side of her gate and fence and thinks it was a badger! I think I would rather it was a human! He said it looked like it tried to dig under their gate and couldn't and then ripped through the gate and then tried to dig under our fence and then ripped it and then it must have gone through our garden into next door's garden. Maybe another badger was chasing it.

I did read that there are badger setts in Leigh-on-sea, but I wouldn't have thought they would be near our houses as it is quite near a busy road.

I'm going to have to be very careful letting my little dog out at night now.

    Good morning everyone,
Goodness Wednesday, I suppose badger damage is better than mindless vandalism even if the results are the same.
Realised last night that 4 people I know well had birthdays yesterday. I know the odds are that in any room 2 people will share but 4 seems a lot. I reckon the Christmas party period might have something to do with it lol!
Cold and wet today, it was reasonable yesterday afternoon and DS2 cracked on with the deck roof frame. Just waiting for a part (3rd attempt!) before the glazing panels can go up.
An afternoon in the kitchen I think, I've promised a roast dinner tonight including homemade Yorkshire pudding. I'm cheating a bit though and using up the other half of the topside I slow roasted a few weeks ago. I'm out tomorrow and I'll also cook the filling for a sausage, leek and apple pie I'm making on Tuesday. LO enchiladas for lunch.
