Feeling good because I finished my tax return yesterday, just need to post it now, being a dinosaur I use a paper tax return of course

Not really sure about meals, feeling like just picking at things today
    Lunch, toast and something

    Good morning everyone,
Sunny but much cooler this morning. I had my sister's pooch overnight, this morning he decided he would have a dust bath where DS2 had been sawing yesterday evening. Needless to say Hector thought this was great idea and the two of them are covered!!! I will wait until tomorrow when Ari's gone home to hoover!
Sis and nephew coming for dinner tonight, I'm cooking teriyaki chicken thighs which we'll have with salad and baked spuds. Fridge bits for lunch.
  • I have to go and pick up my prescription. My house still feels hot even though it is cooler outside. I have to have  a thyroid blood test review, although it seems like I had one not that long ago. I filled out the online form anyway.

I just had a toasted bagel and a smoothie.

I'm going to have a burger in a bun for lunch, probably later as I feel full up.

  • Wow, it has rained today! Wfh but people and system issues meant I didn’t get quite as much done as I wanted…nipped out as soon as I finished to run a couple of errands and do a small Lidl shop. Popped into Wilko, which was looking very sad 😔

LO smoked salmon pasta for lunch and I’ve just had early tea of beans with toast, back to swimming later.

It rained this morning, more so at the hospital than here but it is making up for that now and has been raining for the last couple of hours. The garden will be happy 🌧️

I was glad I allowed plenty of time this morning to get to the hospital for my MRI  :) the traffic wasn't too bad until the last couple of miles and it also took 15mins queuing to get in the hospital carpark so I was only ten mins early, I think it was staff arriving to work. All done and home working by 10am 🙂

ham and cheese pita for lunch with salad.  Dinner was also nice and easy, lamb and aubergine curry from the freezer 😋

  • It rained here last night. It feels much cooler this morning. What a relief!

I booked a pedicure this morning as I couldn't get a chiropodist appointment as they do a foot scrub too. It is cheaper as well £30 instead of £45.

I'm going to have some toast before I leave.

Turned dull & cool here now, not sure which I prefer, too hot or too cold.
If it keeps dry & cool art least i can get into the garden and finish off the summer pruning of my fruit trees, now I've picked all the fruit time for them to go to bed for Autumn

Made a loaf overnight, so that's bread sorted for a few days
Meals, I seem to have accumulated lots of LOs, time for LO Use Up

Lunch, LO cold chicken in fresh bread sandwich
Dinner, LO mash with LO chicken curry, odd mix but should be fine

Sorting out my online Asda shop for next week, it's suddenly getting a bit expensive because I've run out of detergent, dishwasher rinse aid & DW salt, soon clocks up, and with inflation what was a quid is nearly two now, but there again, looking on bright side, I'm not in Libya or Morocco right now with the awful news from there

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you don't have to wait long for the results Brambling.
A bits and bobs day on the cards, there's some admin needing doing, I should really hoover or at least sweep through and there's more ripe tomatoes in the greenhouse. Definitely chillier today.
LOs for lunch and Moroccan-style lamb meatballs (from Tebay services) with HM roasted tomato sauce and pasta for dinner.
  • Offsite meetings day for me but had a bit of time wfh before and after so fairly up to date with tasks, sure that won’t last!

Lunchbox of harissa couscous with roasted peppers, feta and homegrown salad leaves went with me. Just had prawn and broccoli egg fried rice after swimming.

I'll take the cooler weather Farway, at least I can sleep  🛌

I picked the last of my tomatoes lunchtime and started to dismantle the plants, there a a few green ones in the window but TBH I don't think they will ripen.  loads of tomatoes to replace those used for soup yesterday and the ten portions of roast tomatoes made lunchtime 🫣 I took some around to a friend tonight and dropped some off at my sister's, some may go in the freezer, the warm weather last week ripened off a lot 🙂

Fish finger sandwich for lunch with some sweet potato fries I forgot I brought.  Dinner was a portion of a rice dish with chorizo and tomato i can't remember what recipe I think it had halloumi in when I made it which I picked out before freezing.  I need room for tomato related items after freezing 10 portions 9f soup yesterday
