  • We aren't getting the storm here. It is quite nice and mild. I just had a vegan cheeze sandwich and some water.

  • Mixed weather during the day here, we’re forecast some fairly strong winds overnight but tomorrow looks quite pleasant.

Long day of 4 offsite meetings today 🙄. Rinse and repeat lunch of smoked mackerel pitta pizza, salad and coleslaw. Just made a yummy prawn, red pepper and sugar snap egg fried rice - got the chilli and ginger amounts spot on 😋

I think we are spared Agnes as well maybe a little breeze over night 😁 there was a little rain when I was out about 8 but that looks to be all

usual work day, busy but not manic so not too bad

I found some breaded Dover sole in the freezer it was Lidl I think and had been there a while so AF one and had it as a posh 'Fishfingers' sandwich with tartar sauce for lunch.  Stir fried chicken and vegetables in a spicy chilli, garlic and ginger sauce and served with rice for dinner 😋

Dull and mild start and expected to remain so, much like my day I think

Made fresh loaf overnight, whatever was causing my loaves to not rise much a few months back seems to have resolved itself, maybe it was old yeast? All's well now

Lunch, fresh bread sarnie, maybe bacon. Can't be BLT 'cos I've run out of lettuce and the ones in Morries yesterday were a disgrace, so left on the shelf
Diner, undecided, not really hungry so it's another freezer hunt nearer the time. It was Mark's YS MFO chicken Tikka, yesterday

    Good morning everyone,
It was pretty wild here yesterday evening and overnight but calmer now. The new deck roof passed the test!  :)  The wind direction was carrying the sound of the masts on the boats in the marina "singing" to areas of the town that don't usually hear them. It's a very eerie and quite unnatural sound but makes sense once you know what it is. The local FB page was full of folk asking if others had heard the weird noise in the early hours.
Thankfully the worst of the storm had passed when DS2 headed off just after 5am. He'll be back around 8.30ish this evening. A long day and a long drive but he doesn't mind as it's only every other week or so that he has to do it.
More admin today and then I need to finalise my Tesco order. Apart from a few domestics that about the extent of my plans for today.
Fridge bits for lunch and JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince with rice for dinner.
  • It has been very mild here, we just took our dog to the local park.

I haven't had breakfast yet, not sure what I fancy. Maybe cereal and a sliced banana.

Work was very much like yesterday 🙂 but it's Friday tomorrow 🎉

Scrambled egg on a bagel for lunch.  Dinner was sweetheart cabbage stir fried with bacon, onion and garlic 😋

    Good morning everyone,
Still very windy here but dry and bright. Once Tesco have been I'm going to make a start on clearing the greenhouse. The plants are looking very sorry for themselves and one or two are looking a bit blighty. It really has been a dire and very short season for me this year.
My sis has taken Hector and Ari to the beach for a good run around. I'm expecting a soggy, sandy, salty pooch when he returns. Cockapoos really are much magnets, their coats are perfect for gathering debris!
LOs for lunch and tbc/freezer rake for dinner.

Sunny here after overnight rain, but looking & feeling pleasant outside. I may just get round to trimming back a laurel bush near my garage

Surprise e-mail from Asda with another fiver off next shop coupon, "with us failing to deliver all the items that you were expecting" Can't complain at that response even though I never complained or said anything. Long may it continue
I have to complete my order this weekend, so the fiver will help buy my new trial veggie sausages.

Early start and made a pot of fridge bottom soup, I'll warm it through for lunch & maybe have same for dinner

  • It is warm and sunny here. The window cleaner was supposed be coning over, but he didn't say what time so I have all the windows open until he gets here.

I wasn't feeling very good this morning so I slept in. I have had an apple and water, but I think I will have either noodles or soup with toast in a minute.
