Unnaturally mild day here, very odd but good for my meet up with friends for a walk at a country park 😊
Pub roast dinner (and pudding 😋) after the walk. Just had a few of the LO tapas bits with a 🍷for supper while watching strictly results.0 -
Stomach is still not right
it feels like it does if you've had 24 hours of D&V except I haven't so another lazy day and just picking at toast and crackers over the day. I did cook a small gammon as it had defrosted and needed cooking, just popped in the pressure cooker this morning but haven't eaten any yet not how I planned the weekend 🙄

My planned gammon eggs etc last night never happened, just went off the idea and just had some of my HM banana loaf insteadSame for this morning's breakfast, just a slice of BBLunch should be more of the LO HM fridge bottom soup + AF HM croutonsDinner, I'll try again for gammon, eggs & HM chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Sorry you are still not feeling well Brambling
I'm off out tonight, but feeling quite tired at the moment. I'm having some strong green tea and have just had a sandwich to use up the last of a loaf.0 -
Stomach still isn't 100% and was joined today but a sharp pain in my right side, if it's still like it in morning I may try the impossible and try for a dr appointment. My sister queried appendicitis which didn't help me feel better 🫣
Quiet work day and I finished early for my flu jab, luckily they were running on time as I had to park in Sainsbury's car park and would have to shop if I was there more than 30 minutes, luckily i finished in 20 minutes so saved an unnecessary shop, the car park behind the surgery was full
lunch was plain rice with some lean gammon, boring but I didn't fancy anything else, more gammon for dinner with mash potato but that could explain the pain now?

Oh dear Brambling, might be a good idea to get it checked out.
In the office today and it flew by. Lots of productive meetings but still have a huge to do list…really hoping I get to catch up on my wfh day tomorrow 🤞
Beetroot and feta mixed grain salad for lunch. Made nutty sweet potato stew tonight, served with toasted pitta. Three portions of stew in the freezer and a lunch size portion in the fridge 🙃0 -
Sun's out and not looking too bad, was thunder with the rain yesterday, but it never lasted longHope tum has eased brambling, mine is still iffy, picked at meal again, thank heavens for HM banana loafAsda delivery due tomorrow, just in time now fridge is nearly empty of fresh / chilled food, just the misshape bacon bits, some eggs and LO mash & LO fridge bottom soup left, those will become today's lunch & dinner if tum is feeling OKOff to garden centre tomorrow, so I expect café will supply lunch, and the attached Farm Shop will hopefully provide Brighton Blue cheese and Sussex Brie, and some other tasty cheeses, plus maybe real sausages and a thick FR pork chop, steaks are eye watering prices so unlikely to come home with one, unless very YSEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Goodness I must have moved away from the page without submitting yesterday!
Brambling, yes sounds like one to have checked out if it hasn't fully eased.
Farway, jury is out on dogs and raw bones these days. I don't give them to Hector mainly because I tend to use them for stock, I also don't want them lurking when they are all grotty, his chicken feet and goat ear treats are bad enough but thankfully they don't last very long!
Operation "get ready" for the family weekend away commences, as usual I'm in charge of supplies. I have my list!
I had physio yesterday and I'm very sore today so nothing too strenuous on the cards.
My sis is away but my nephew is on day shift so coming for dinner and will pick up Ari as he's off tomorrow. DS2 is making dal and I'll cook a tray of tandoori-style chicken. We'll have those with rice and naan. LOs/fridge bits for lunch.

I hope you are feeling better Brambling, what about 111 or asking at a pharmacy if you can't get a GP appointment quickly?
I ate so much junk yesterday! We went to Stratford to this place called Neat Burger and I had a "chicken" burger, fries and a strawberry milkshake. The Muse concert at the O2 was really good and so was the hotel considering it was under £100 a night. The hotel was right next to a 24 hour McDonald's so I had the McPlant meal for dinner as well.2025 GOALS

Not a great night sleep but the pain had lessened enough for me to decide to leave it another day however appetite still isn't great so a picky food day as I decided not eating a full meal would be beneficial
I had to pop into town lunchtime to drop off a form I forgot yesterday which meant persuading 'not my cat' out from under my car it seems a favourite place for him I then had to chase him around the lounge when he followed his lordship in when I got back 🙄 still not sure where he lives, most of my neighbours think he's mine as he spends time in my garden!Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
