I had a yoghurt and some sparkling water earlier. My husband is painting our decking at the moment as we have nice weather still.
I will "cook" and make him veggie bacon bagels when he finishes and I will have a veggie bacon BLT in a pitta bread.
I have an Amazon delivery later, but it says 1.30-4.30 at the moment. I'm going to declutter our wardrobes today. I had a craving for stuffing a few days ago so I might pop to T*sspots and buy a box.0 -
I like buying the bigger pieces of salmon as well Farway but seeing as these days I buy whatever is YS it depends what I can get. I do have a piece in my freezer which I didn't cut up as I'll feed my sister if she comes up this year, I think it tastes better cooking in one piece but not very CFO. I'm not sure if she will make it as my BIL is starting cancer treatment and unless he forces her out she doesn't want to leave him
another lovely warm day here, probably the last day this year my bedding will dry on the line and put back on the bed, I love the smell when you can dothat
Food pretty much the same, egg and cress roll for lunch. Soup for dinner with toast

Another unseasonably mild and sunny day here. Motivated me to strip the bed, wash and line dry two loads of bedding, dust, hoover and mop before heading out for a swim (pool was lovely and quiet 😊).
Home for scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel. Then out to dispose of dead iron at the tip and collect shiny new iron from Argos/Sainsburys, picked up strawberries that I forgot about when food shopping and toothpaste that I didn’t realise I needed until today.
Typed up minutes from voluntary meeting last week, remade the bed and prepped sausage, sweet potato and beetroot traybake. Tea was eaten watching Strictly results. LO roast beetroot, sweet potato and onions mixed into harissa couscous with feta for tomorrow’s packed lunch. Watching telly with a 🍷0 -
Sunny day again, out to Post Office & Morries YS mooch first thingThe YS went reasonably well, own brand YS Best Bangers, so I'll try them, and YS Lancashire cheese, which is ideal because I'm going to have posh ploughman's for lunchPlus some orange & choc doughnuts stuck to my trolleyLunch, as stated, posh ploughman's, with the farm Shop cheeses, Brighton Blue etcDinner, more farm shop items, this time it's FR thick pork chop, with mushrooms & maybe some HM chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Busy but productive office day plus have done the bits of voluntary admin I needed to do this evening 😊
Yesterday’s LO roast veg with harissa couscous and feta for lunch. Made creamy Parma ham and artichoke pasta tonight, served with broccoli.
Now having a cuppa and a couple of squares of chocolate and watching episode 3 of Boiling Point, has confirmed I don’t want to work in a restaurant 😅0 -
Having worked in hotels in the late 80s I agree JKS 😁
Work wasn't too bad until a system issue was reported at 4pm which our developers couldn't find the cause, my manager and I ended up them instructions which isn't how it should work! We didn't finish until after 6.30pm (I suppose I shouldn't complain as it was a lot later in India) The guy who reported it dropped off with out telling us so we were unable to confirm the issue was fixed 🤷♀️
a mug of soup for lunch. I need to use eggs as one failed the float test so mushroom omelette, chips and salad for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
A bit dull outside with sun trying hard this morning, maybe summer has gone now? It was very muggy yesterday PM and I notice a second flowering on my Judas tree, normally it's Spring flowering, poor thing is confusedMY farm shop FR pork chop was excellent, but with the price it has to be an occasional treat, odd thing is it was same price per Kg as their sausages, which for CFO it's no contest, chop wins, but presumable family you'd get more bangers for same moneyJust had broadband renewal notice, it's going up of course, I'm quite happy with them [NOW] but being MSE I will have to look around just in case some super bargain is around, thing is all I need is basic browsing BB, not super-duper stuffNot much idea what to have for lunch, I may try one of the tins of soup I bought last week, see if worth adding more onto next listDinner, I have LO cold roast pork shoulder, loads of it, probably add a jacket spud and some saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
I'm back from a very soggy weekend. We knew the forecast was iffy but didn't expect to find ourselves in the middle of an emerging amber alert and with the main roads off of Kintyre closed due to flooding and/or landslips. That said although the weather was wild from the Friday evening until the Sunday morning we still had a great time. We had plenty of supplies and the house was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Journey back was a bit of a trek as the road was closed at Inveraray and we were diverted over the hill road to Tyndrum and down the side of Loch Lomond. Two and a half hours there, just under five coming back! Only saw 4 boats on the canal as it was closed until Sunday afternoon so not much gongoozling done.
Laundry catch up and some admin bits today but I'm needing a few days of gentle pottering to get my balance back after the travelling and just generally being in a strange place. I'm very staggery today but it was worth it.
Tesco due this afternoon. Easy dinner tonight of Southern Fried chicken, baked spuds and various veg. Tinned soup and a toasted bagel planned for lunch.0 -
I had toast with marg and Marmite and tried one of the OMV sausages. I had some orange juice too.
It isn't that I want it to be cold, but this heat is quite weird now.2025 GOALS

Last of the warm weather, according to the forecast. Yesterday was literally like a summer’s day, today a bit overcast but still mild.
A frustrating wfh day today but will take my frustrations out on the pool shortly 😅
LO ham and artichoke pasta for lunch. Beans with toast for early tea.
I expect I will have a biscuit with a cuppa when I get home and watch Bake Off…0
