Productive wfh day here, couple of meetings and lots of small tasks crossed off my to do list.
Made cheese on toast for lunch to use a slightly sad looking end of block of cheese, topped with half a tin of plum tomatoes out of the freezer 😋
Quick and easy tuna steak with lentils, spinach and semi dried tomatoes tonight before heading out to a voluntary meeting.
Catching up with Bake Off now 🍪0 -
Good morning everyone,
Hope you're feeling better today Brambling.
The weather is dire here this morning and not looking promising for when we are away. Thankfully we are travelling by car so can pack for all weather eventualities.
Domestics today and I really should tackle some ironing.
LOs for lunch. Pork and broccoli Thai green curry for dinner.0 -
It feels cooler today. We have the workman redoing our patio today and tomorrow. I had the nosy cat from next door coming into the garden to walk around to see what he is doing!
I have been eating far too much junk lately so I'm just having fresh fruit with sparkling water for breakfast. I am going to go for a walk and then probably have a tin of soup with a buttered roll for lunch.
I am going to cook something fairly healthy for dinner, maybe tofu with rice and veggies.

Quite sunny here, Adsa delivery first thing, had to send a sub back, plain flour in place of bread flour and unavailable cooking marge. Rest was fine thoughWent out to Garden Centre for prowl around, just a mediocre dishwater cup of teaThe attached Farm Shop was as hoped, topped up with Brighton Blue cheese, changed to Cricket St Thomas Brie instead of Sussex and found Isle of Mull cheddar is superb, had a taster, and it was back to childhood cheese
, as it used to be
Checking online, it's made with raw milk & proper animal rennet, just like the old days I guess.Plus one thick & chunky FR Sussex Downs pork Chop also in my bagNot a cheap outing but tastyLunch was pub, BLT + some chips, very nice, bacon had been char grilled, the sort with stripes on itDinner, too full at the moment for the posh FR pork chop, maybe just toast & banana bread later?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1 -
Another day of meetings but all fairly productive and/or interesting. Couple of gaps so got some urgent tasks moved on too.
Second half of the beetroot and feta grain salad for lunch. Just had sweet chilli prawn and broccoli noodles after swimming.0 -
Farway have you tried Sussex Charmer 😋 another one made the traditional way and made a few miles down the road from me, they have a cafe which does the most amazing cheese on toast and Mac and cheese. Also the Brighton Ewe is nice but I don't see that very often now they have stopped coming to the farmers market
As long as your not the one walking the dogs Caronc a little rain just means hot chocolate and wine
I completed a eConsult form today which was fun, I tried to do via the NHS website but it required a picture or video taking today with me saying a four numbers they provided and my tablet wouldn't let it use my camera so gave up after much fiddling and swearing and used the option of no NHS logon. They definitely don't make it easy and I know my older sisters wouldn't attempt to use it. They should reply by 6.30pm tomorrow
I had a bowl of porridge and blueberries for lunch as I needed to eat but didn't fancy anything. Just eaten some crackers and a banana for dinner as I didn't want to go to bed on a empty stomach. On the plus side I have loss 3lb this week 🤨

The GP I joined when I moved here is completely econsult too. It really is long winded to do, but they do get back to you within the time they say.
I have just had coffee with almond milk. I might go out for breakfast/brunch when the workman leaves as he left quite early yesterday.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Hope you get your e-consult through quickly Brambling.
Weather is dire, we head off tomorrow and it seems we are following the wild weather.
Long "to do" list to plough through today so best finish my cuppa and get cracking!
LOs for lunch and I've defrosted sausages for dinner, will decide later what to do with them.0 -
Busy but good office day then nipped to sainsburys on way home to get a few bits before my nectar prices switched over. Had a g&t when I got in with some olives, just fancied it 🍸
Lunch was the smaller portion of nutty sweet potato stew with a toasted pitta. Just had broccoli and pesto pasta with a grilled salmon fillet, really enjoyed it, not had salmon for ages but it was on offer in Lidl last week.
Nearly the weekend!0
