It isn't sunny, but it is at least dry today so I put some washing out to dry properly.
The professional oven cleaner is coming today and so are Directline, finally! Annoyingly, they will both be here at exactly the same time.
I had a bowl of fresh fruit salad and a coffee with oat milk so far today.
I think I am going to have soup and a buttered roll for lunch.0 -
Day off today, although I'm wishing now I had tomorrow instead 😁 This lordship woke me up before 7am by head butting me in the nose a couple of times 😡 I may have said some bad words but did give in a feed and let him out
My sister needed some tee shirts and work trousers so we went to the large M&S at Shoreham, we both picked up some sale bargains, just a half price jacket for me for autumn/spring and we both brought some half price vests and sleep suits for the baby who has gone up a size 🙂 we had lunch out and came home via the art supply shop to make use of her 20% off voucher (she needed stuff for work as well) lucky it was a dry day, I should have washed by bedding as it would have dried
after lunch out dinner was a sausage sandwich using up a couple of sausages i cooked yesterdayLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Busy office day, although I’m not sure what I actually did all day 🤔
More carrot, feta and pomegranate couscous for lunch. Made a sort of nicoise salad with tuna steak tonight.
Caught up on last night’s celeb Masterchef (not particularly inspiring) and the first episode of Wolf (very odd). Might just read my book instead 😅0 -
My now very clean oven.:) I think that was worth the money. He said it wasn't that dirty but there was dried on food on the sides that I couldn't reach. He said as I'm clean it maybe could be done once a year.

I just had the last of the chopped up fruit, pineapple and melon, with a cup of coffee.
I had to get up early as I have Amazon deliveries. My cats are having trouble jumping up to their old litter tray and one has arthritis so I bought a new lower one. The builder is coming round later as well to give us a quote for our insurance company.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Lovely, shiny oven Wednesday definitely looks worth the spend.
Dry and sunny again this morning though there's stiff, chilly breeze. Good drying weather.
Hector is off to the beach with my sis and Ari, so I'm enjoying a quiet cuppa until Tesco arrive. Once the shopping is stashed, I'm tempted to sit in the garden, even though it's still a building site, and make the most of the good weather as rain returns tomorrow.
There quite a bit of sauce LO from yesterday's casserole so I'm going to add some stock and blitz into soup. Will have some for lunch with a toasted bagel thin. Dinner is the usual Friday tbc.1 -
Sun's out, just for the day then it's back to wind & rain it seems, yep, sit out in the sun while it's around Caron, and your Tesco delivery has reminded me to get on & sort out my Asda listPicked about a pound of blackberries from the garden yesterday, I have a cultivated thornless one, with plenty more to come. Frozen them for the moment until my apples are ripe, then it's either jam or crumblesLunch, cold roast pork sandwichDinner, more sirloin from Morries, with HM AF chips and either fried eggs or salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Oven looks great, must get mine done, I’ve always found it well worth the money in the past.
Nice wfh day today and suddenly my short week is over 😀Bit of a use up lunch - nice bread LO from visitors, houmous, olives, carrot sticks and sun dried tomatoes. Made prawn and courgette pasta tonight, served with a green salad.1 -
I must admit I'm having thoughts about my oven as well 😁
Another dry day, I think tomorrow will be horrid.I needed to us some pork mince up which was going to be yesterday's dinner, so lunch was spicy mince in lettuce cups, LOs of course 🙄 dinner was chorizo and halloumi jambalaya even halved the recipe made three good size portions I'm wondering if it's because the recipe called for easy cook rice and I used 'normal' long rain maybe it expanded more. I do know if I had made the the recipe for 4 I would be feeding at least 6 healthy appetites 😁 I'm going to try and freeze some if not all of the LOs and see how it turns out. There is also half a block of halloumi in the fridge to think about, i will say read AF the cheese and will do that again rather than fryingLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Brambling said:Another dry day, I think tomorrow will be horrid. As forecast, it is awful weather this morning, one for just watching TV with a bit of cake
, if I had cake I'd do just that
Lunch, eggs will be in there somewhere, need something warm & comforting I thinkDinner, Use up LO boiled spuds in a frittata, but if weather stays as is maybe one of my frozen HM stews?
