Brambling - I think I said on here that I got a free voucher in the post for a hearing test recently (Hidden Hearing) and the person tested my hearing and then she tested my my inner ears as apparently there is a difference.

I think I will walk to Superdrug as the website doesn't seem to work for me lately! I will at least get my steps in. I had two crumpets with vegan butter for breakfast.

My house still smells like the curry I made yesterday even though the leftovers are in the freezer.

    Good morning everyone,
Oh no Brambling, I'm sorry the donkey has been bothering you, he fair gets about!! My understanding is that inner ear hearing loss is due to damage and can affect different tones as opposed to that from ageing/genetics and also sometimes fluctuate and/or recover. The exercises can be really helpful even if it feels they're not doing very much.

I think my back might be settling a bit so am going to hold off getting back in touch with the physio until tomorrow and see what it's like. The bruising from being zapped on Monday is well developed now which will hopefully help ease things.
Another day gentle stuff for me, I have a couple of admin bits that really can't wait but they shouldn't take too long and I'll make sure not to sit for ages without moving.
There's some ham scraps LO from yesterday's joint which I'll have with crispbreads and salad for lunch. Tandoori chicken in naan wraps tonight, salad, HM pakora sauce and onions. Might do a few HM wedges to go with it.

Back to normal today, the sun's out as well, what a dreadful damp day yesterday turned out to be.

I hope you found your Brighton Blue Farway unfortunately my dealer in the farmers market seems to have stopped coming 😕 he would regularly have 6 or 7 sussex cheeses and his chilli jam and wild garlic pesto were the best

Yes, success on Brighton Blue :) , and Sussex Brie :) , both at eye watering prices :o compared to my usual fodder, but it's a treat, and I'm worth it >:) , and more importantly can afford to splash out now & then, which I appreciate many cannot
Asda delivery arrived spot on time, two subs which had to go back, thin cut bog-standard marmalade and two mince pasties in place of ginger marmalade & six sausage rolls. No show on the pork joint either, but I had ticked No Subs on that item

Made fresh overnight loaf for lunchtime sarnie. BLT is tempting now Asda have supplied cooking bacon odd bits, hoping to find suitable bits in there for a BLT or two
Dinner, Nuked jacket spud, with grilled pork chop just delivered, and salad bits

  • Long day of two long meetings but mostly productive, makes such a difference. There was a bit of a gap to do a few emails and have lunch - second half of the mixed grains, roast sweet potato and blue cheese.

Was ready to move so really enjoyed my swim this evening, and the sun was out. Just had fajitas made using some of the LO roast chicken from the freezer.

Catching up with first episode of the new series of Remarkable Places to Eat - lovely food in lovely locations, what’s not to like 😍

I wouldn't say I enjoy the exercises Caronc but I'll do them, just need to fit around the hip ones from the physio 🙄 any one got a gun!

Farway the advantage of YS and looking for offers is you can treat yourself occasionally I hope you enjoy the cheese.  The Brighton Blue using sheep's milk called Brighton Ewe is also very nice although I've only seen it in the FM from the guy who no long comes

A day of unexpected meetings one of which went over my head, not helped as I was feeling headachy today.  At least we have passed the half way mark of the week.  Panic this evening as I couldn't find my card case with my credit card and bank card and couldn't remember using it since last Thursday I turned my bag upside down twice and checked no usage on either. Just before stopping them I checked again and it was inside a zipped pocket where I keep headache tablets and a couple of masks, haven't been in there or so I thought for ages so not sure why I put it there after paying for lunch 🤷‍♀️ obviously I was 'man looking'  :D

Lunch was a bagel and scrambled egg.  YS stuffed sea bass from the freezer for dinner with new potatoes and steamed green veg

Dull and warm, went into town first thing, mainly to check out Wilko for any reduced seeds, but no luck there

Lots more of my blackberries are ripe, so I'll pick & freeze more later, all being well. Blight has arrived for some of my tomatoes, so window sill is full now, rest seem fine so far, but this humid weather is not a friend

Lunch, maybe egg sandwich, I have too many eggs now with yesterday's delivery and at the price of them I'd hate to waste any
Dinner, another grilled pork chop, although just Asda ones and nothing special like FR etc they are tasty, just right size CFO
With more salad & maybe try out the "reds" on offer spuds from Asda, no clue given on variety but supposed to be good chips, hope so, last lot of "whites" were useless which is why I went for "reds" this time

  • My brother is coming over to stay so we are booked into a restaurant tonight. I am going to Leigh-on-sea seafront with him during the day.

I just had mashed avocado on toast for breakfast.

    Good morning everyone,
Enjoy your time with your brother Wednesday.
DS2 was off just after 5am to head to the office in Newcastle. Hector and I are going to have a quiet day, gently pottering. I'm very stiff this morning so aim to move about much more today if I can. The floors could really do with a sweep but I'll resist!
LO tandoori chicken for lunch with salad and crispbreads. Spag bol tonight using a tub of ragu from the freezer.
  • Never seemed to get on top of work today but as it’s my birthday, I’ll not worry 🙃

Went out for lunch with some work friends - spicy chicken flatbread and chips 😋

As lunch was more filling than expected, I just did the tuna steak with homegrown leaves, tomato and avocado salad tonight.
