    Happy birthday JKS  🎂

I hope you had a good dinner with your brother Wednesday

Most of the day has been spent on a call with the boss and the 'it will only take 5 minutes' conversation at 12.50 finished at 2pm so a late lunch.  I told him at 5 pm that it was too nice to be indoors and finished on time today, we have about a half day work to finish off tomorrow so another long call

Menu planned and shopping list sorted lunchtime and I popped to Waitrose just before 7 where I was led astray so my menu plan will need rejigging. Half price tuna and plaice fillets on the fish counter and she gave me a free kipper 😁 then I picked up a small chicken for £1 all in the freezer.

Late lunch so I AF some LO halloumi and had with the last of my salad.  I wasn't that hungry so late dinner when I got back of cheese on crumpets. The pork chop I planned to eat will rollover until tomorrow

    Good morning everyone,
Hector is off to the beach with my sis and Ari while I wait for Tesco to arrive.
Minimal plans for today as still avoiding anything bendy or stretchy, though did manage to stretch to open the velux in the kitchen this morning which is progress.  :)
LO pasta for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.

Dull but mild, rain would not be a surprise, but it's not forecast

Lunch, going wild, my own fresh figs, with the posh Brighton Blue & Sussex Brie, plus the usual Asda cheese, with salad bits, sort of figgy ploughman's, with my own tomatoes
Dinner, grilled bacon bits, fried eggs, HM AF chips, sautéed mushrooms

    Happy Birthday JKS.

I had so much nice food the past two days. We shared a few dishes last night. We had vegan BBQ tenders with chilli beans, mac and cheese and mushroom hot wings. Lots of craft beer too! I had a strawberry shortcake flavoured one.

I just ate out again for lunch. A big salad. I need to cook at home tonight.

I was thinking after the success of my oven about next getting my bedroom carpet professionally cleaned. Has anyone on here had that done?

  • Thanks everyone, had a cheeky G&T yesterday evening to celebrate and there will be cake over the weekend.

Wfh today - a few dramas but got all,of my list done except for a boring online learning 😂

Sunny and breezy so 3 loads dried on the line.

Posh fishfinger wrap with gherkins and salad leaves for lunch. Made a chorizo and chickpea stew tonight, served with a lump of nice bread I found in the freezer.

I know people who have hire carpet cleaners but not getting it done professionally, not sure what the difference in cost is

Not quite the end of my work week as I'm working tomorrow morning betw 8 -1 hopefully it will finish then but the week we have had anything is possible. I suggested to the boss we came in did what needed to do and ignore all other emails 😁

Freezer rummage for lunch a HM RM aka LOs of vegetable 'stew' made with a little peanut butter for richness 😋 dinner was a lovely pork chop which I cooked in the AF and came out very moist, AF cauliflower, new potatoes and runner beans

Bit of sunshine but quite cool so far. Which leaves me very undecided on today's meals, is it salad or stews?

    Lunch, probably eggs on toast
Dinner, something out of the freezer depending on the weather

  • I'm not sure what the difference is either, I suppose I could get a few quotes for the carpets.

I just had smooth PB on toast. I'm trying to order from Tesco but it is being really slow. I need to pop out to the shop before my dog gets dropped off.

    Good morning everyone,
Torrential showers here today, DS1 is coming down this afternoon with Frank. Him and DS2 are hoping to take the pooches for a long walk- I think there will be two muddy dogs afterwards!
Overdid it a bit yesterday so back to minimal bending and stretching today as don't want to set things back.  I'd hoped to get some greenhouse tidying done but it can wait a few days. DS2 is off next week so will give me a hand if need be.
HM teriyaki chicken wings for dinner with spuds, corn cobette and coleslaw. Last night I made a soupy/stewy concoction of various veg, a small handful of pork mince, cayenne, garlic, ginger,   brown lentils and brown rice. Didn't look very appealing but very tasty and there's LOs for lunch.
