  • Busy office day today but it’s another one done - 7 more working days until holidays 🌞

Sweet potato, chickpea, blue cheese and walnut couscous for lunch. Salmon with green bean and pesto pasta tonight.

Quiet work day for me 😁 just as well as my manager and I spent ages trying to work out a complicated formula used on a specific invoice, in the end we had to call on our 'expert' in Holland to explain the formula he had sent us, it seems he made a mistake in what he sent on Friday 🙄

I had to phone to see about moving my MRI appointment, she seem surprised even after I said twice that I would be on holiday and 6 hours away, TBH I waited 5 months to see the consultant I don't think waiting a extra week or two for the MRI will make much difference 🤨 it's cancelled and if I don't get a new appointment letter in a week I'll have to phone again

I cooked a jacket potato when the oven was on yesterday so made wedges with cheese and salad for lunch.  Not that hungry tonight so beans on toast for dinner

  • I had something from a Mexican restaurant last night, a veggie quesadilla.

I'm doing laundry as usual as it is meant to be quite warm today. I forgot the football was on so I missed the first half.

Sun's back at last, good for a few days allegedly, so may get out and pick some more blackberries later

Yesterday's planned turkey drumstick did not defrost in time, so that's today's dinner now
Lunch will be a sort of ploughman's, nice & easy
Dinner, the now defrosted ex Christmas turkey drumstick, with HG runners & shop carrots, plus use up ex Christmas Aunty B frozen roast spuds

    Good morning everyone,
Rubbish sleep last night so feel pretty bushed this morning. Thankfully nothing too taxing needing to be done today. Sis here for dinner but I prepped the base for the chicken, chorizo and chickpea casserole I'm cooking yesterday so just salad and new potatoes to prep later. LOs (as usual lol!) for lunch.
  • I managed to miss all the goals as I was outside pegging out the washing and then I went upstairs and missed the others! I saw that Homes Under The Hammer was on afterwards and I was thinking I hadn't seen that in ages and that they never seem to show anywhere I live. Today it was Westcliff-on-sea which is the next train station to me now so I recorded it to watch later. :)

I had two slices of leftover pizza for breakfast so I thought that wasn't very healthy so I just made a smoothie. Pineapple, frozen mango and spinach.

  • Wfh this morning then went into the office for the afternoon, lots going on!

Took LO green bean and pesto pasta with added sun dried tomatoes and roasted peppers in a lunchbox. Just had beans with toast for early tea before swimming later.

It's been a lovely sunny day, just a shame I had to work 🙂

lunch was using up a half tin of beans on a jacket potato and cheese.  I made a couple of scotch eggs tonight using a couple of FS venison sausages from the freezer and had one with salad and coleslaw for dinner

I had leftovers for breakfast. I am about to have a shower and watch the football as I don't want to miss this game!

I just sent some requests for a quote for the carpet cleaning so I hope I hear back soon.

We also finally got the go ahead yesterday for the money for our water leak problem from Directline. They are giving us £5,000 which is good.

    Good morning everyone,
Good news re the insurance Wednesday
My sis ended up taking a rain cheque yesterday as my nephew was sent home from work with the lurgy. LFTs (so far) negative but he was feeling pretty rough and she didn't want to pass anything on. I still made the stew and will freeze the unused half for another meal for DS2 and I in coming weeks.
DS2 has made great progress that's all the concreting and slab laying finished and the walls painted.  :)  Don't think he'll get much more done this week as head to Crawley tomorrow to buy a car. It's an Audi A4 estate so will have plenty of room for pooches, people an my various mobility aids.  :)
Fridge bits for lunch and I've defrosted pork mince to make cheesy, chilli meatballs with pasta for dinner.
