    Good morning everyone,
For once it's not raining and there's a strange orange ball trying to peek through the cloud.  :)
Still gungy but definitely feeling better.
Tesco due soon and then domestics beckon. I need to do some ironing as meeting up with a couple of friends for coffee tomorrow and they are both always very chic. I'll aim for clean, tidy and presentable!
Salady bits for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.

It is really warm out. I popped out to buy butter and I was quite hot on the walk. Summer seems to be back.

We got Ricky Gervais tickets for Brighton in October. My brother is going to book us an Airbnb. I've never seen him live or even do stand up on TV before.

I have had some strawberries, toast with marg and a cup of ginger tea.

I think I will have a Quorn steak bake for lunch with steamed veggies.

After a quiet work week it ended with a bang  :| it all went downhill just before lunch but luckily it was resolved just after 5pm although it took a little while to issue out communications and a incident report it wasn't a 9pm late finish which was threatened at 4pm 🙂  a G&T made a appearance  after I closed my laptop ;)

lunch was late and on the go, I grabbed some fruit and yogurt between calls.

I had some lovely lean FS lamb mince which needed using up today and CBA to make the stuffed aubergine I planned so dinner was lamb and aubergine curry, everything thrown in the pressure cooker, it needed reducing once it finished and some date nectar lurking in the cupboard balanced it out nicely 😋 i probably won't ever duplicate it 😁 a couple of portions LO

Oh dear, forgot to post again 🙄 - definitely time for a break. Luckily, it’s my last working day before a couple of days off next week.

Must be catching :o , found yesterday's post still as a draft, oh dear:smile:
Up early to volunteer place to water the large pots, never sure if it's going to rain or not, could go either way
Anyway, while there I picked some blackberries, not enough for a pie etc, but I'll freeze them until I get enough to decide if it's jam or crumble

Glad you're improving Caron, and sun helps of course

    Meals today are undecided, again.
Lunch, maybe a mini pork pie Ploughmans
Dinner, plenty of LO cold roast chicken so will probably have that with salady bits, or maybe frozen chips & LO beans?

Extremely unhealthy today. I have had crisps and a Quorn steak bake. :D

I was thinking of getting my oven deep cleaned. I don't use it as it (apart from the hob) as it grosses me out as it belonged to the last couple and it doesn't seem to feel clean no matter how much I try to clean it. It is a built in one but I assume they can still come and clean it professionally for me.

    Good evening everyone,
Late on parade today. I had a lovely catch up/brunch with my friends. I was in two minds whether I should go or not as still feeling a wee bit below par but I'm glad I went. :) One of them lives abroad and I hadn't seen her since just before COVID struck. Had to have a nap when I came and I'm sure I won't be late in bed tonight. I'm now Hector sitting as DS2 has gone to Glasgow for a 30th. Lunch was a croissant stuffed with bacon, tomato and cheese. LOs tonight, yesterday I made a chicken traybake bung in, but was naughty and snaffled prawn toast and prawn crackers from DS2's takeaway so only had a small portion so plenty left for tonight if I pad it out with some more veg.
  • Sounds like a good meet up caronc.

Busy morning here, meal planning and shopping for visitors. Sunny and breezy so load of towels dried on the line. Done some voluntary admin this afternoon and read a bit while listening to the radio.

Houmous, baguette, carrot sticks and olives for lunch. Sausage and fennel seed pasta with green salad tonight. Oh, and a fake mini magnum for pudding 😋

There are a couple of one man companies around here which do this one is environmentally friendly and doesn't use chemicals, I told he does a fantastic job.  Pre lock down he charged about £50 I imagine it will probably cost a lot more now but he would replace bulbs and clean grill pans etc as well

I'm glad you were feeling well enough for your meet up Caronc

A mild dry day here with one very small storm whilst I was in Sainsbury's I came out to the sun shining but a wet car just after lunch.  This morning I was organised enough to check supplies look up some new recipes before menu planning and writing a shopping list mainly just fruit, veg and dairy although I did wander a little off list 🫣 mainly being led astray by their nectar offers for things like feta and cherries stuff that will get used and enjoyed  ;) I did swap some stuff for what was on offer like cheddar cheese

Bacon sandwich for lunch using some FS bacon found in the freezer.  I froze my curry LOs and made a pork, soba noodle and vegetable dish in the wok with a peanut sauce again there are LOs 😁 I had some free range Hampshire pork tender loin in the freezer brought reduced from Waitrose meat counter it was a really good piece of pork 😋 I do like their meat counter and sometimes there are really good reductions

I might get some prices next week for the oven. I have the man from the council coming round next week too to get a quote for a bulky waste collection.

I ordered chips last night from a place around here that does the best chips. I got mushy peas and a curry Spring roll, but didn't like the Spring roll at all!

I had a good sleep last night, over 9 hours, according to my Fitbit. I'm not hungry at all at the moment.
