    Good morning everyone,
That's a good price for the oven Wednesday.
It's another wet day here, I actually lit the stove last night as the house felt damp and chilly. DS2 and Hector had also got soaked on their walk so it seemed like the right thing to do. I might reset it in case tonight feels the same. I'm pooch sitting my sister's dog today. Poor love has been having tummy troubles so is on a restricted prescription diet until test results come back and can't have his favourite "at his Aunt's treats" so he was a bit put out as he usually gets one when he arrives. Like a lot of rescue dogs from Southern Europe he carries the Leishmania parasite which is treatable but not curable. He can't transmit it but it can flare up from time to time and can be fatal if not caught early so the usual stick them on chicken, rice and probiotics for a bit and see how they do route doesn't apply. They don't treat as a precaution as the parasite can become resistant if there's no active disease. Thankfully he's well in himself and has been busy playing in the garden between showers with Hector.
My sis will join us for dinner tonight, I made a big pan of ragu yesterday so just pasta to cook and salad to put together later. LO paella for lunch.

Blood test completed this morning, trouble free luckily, sometimes I have trouble when they have to stab around carefully feel for a vein but had an expert today so easy-peasy
Into Morries on the way home, mainly for top up tomatoes & bread. But was tempted by YS fish and meat offers, and yet another small fig tree. :o

Lunch was an individual Morries YS S & K pie, and one of the doughnuts that had dropped into my trolley
Dinner, the Morries trip has changed it, now it's baked YS smoked haddock, nuked LO mash + some of my own runners just picked + frozen peas
I've frozen the last of LO chicken casserole for another day, along with two YS battered cod fillets from this morning's haul

Good YS haul Farway sometimes the mornings are as successful as evenings for YS

i hope your furry 'nephew' is feeling a little better this evening Caronc

We had blue skies this morning and although it got grey and windy no rain 😁 his lordship spent the day in bed so it wasn't warm enough to sun bathe 🐈‍⬛

The tomatoes are taking over the greenhouse they need more managing, the last minute purchase of baby plum tomatoes were obviously miss labeled as they are definitely not babies at the moment
If they ripeni going to have some large plum tomatoes

mushroom omelette for lunch.  lO pork, noodles and vegetables for dinner

Sunny, mild but windy. Seems the grotty weather must have been overnight as it all seems a bit pleasant outside, but radar shows trouble on the way from the west, wait and see I guess
Today is MOT day, car collected and I await results later.
Any failure won't be wear & tear given my small mileage, but may be old age decay, whatever the result a new, or newer, car is not on my shopping list

Lunch, the last YS individual S & K pie
Dinner, push boat out time, on offer from Morries Sirloin, I think I'll marinade it a bit first, with HM AF chips, fried eggs & last of the mushrooms

    Good morning everyone,
Fingers crossed for the MOT Farway.
Brambling Ari, was just fine in himself full of beans and happy to play. Thankfully no tummy upsets while he was here.  :)
Still raining, though it supposed to dry up later and fingers crossed be dry tomorrow.
Some admin and housework on the cards and that's about it. It's "meal plan" Wednesday so will get my thinking cap on, I feel our menus have been a bit samey recently though DS2 disagrees. I don't think the weather is helping my inspiration! I hived off some ragu to freeze for a future meal but apart from that no LOs, DS2 and my sis both had seconds. Fridge rake for lunch probably hard boiled egg salad and Yoghurt Chicken curry for dinner.

ETA - I started watching Wolf on i-player last night. If you enjoyed the Mo Hayder book (enjoyed maybe the wrong word!) well worth a watch though episode one is very much scene setting.

I saw Wolf advertised yesterday and thought about watching it. I actually watched some of the women's football yesterday although I remembered about it after half time!

I haven't eaten yet as i went to bed very late and only woke up at midday.

  • Back after a few days of CF3ing and eating out. Had a fab steak at a local gastropub last night 😋

Also back to work after a couple of days off and today has worn me out…

I’ve rejigged the meal plan a bit to use up things left from visitors. I was very organised and roasted some carrots before we went out yesterday evening so office packed lunches sorted for this week. Therefore lunch was couscous with cumin and chilli roasted carrots, feta and pomegranate seeds. Chicken, red pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight.

I know what you mean about food getting a bit samey Caronc I did go through looking for ideas at the weekend but the trouble is LOs or LOs of LOs so they mess up my plans 🤔

Busy day and as I'm off tomorrow I had some stuff to sort to hand over as it has to be done (not today for some reason🙄) so I was leaving instructions for the boss to pick up.  I had a very entertaining hour meeting this afternoon there were two very southern ladies from our office in Houma Louisiana who were not at all pc savvy and had issues with our system and our IT guy from Brighton there was some translation required  :D and at the end of the call the realisation that it was their server issues not our system 😁

Very wet day here after a sunny start but not the thunder or high winds we were forecast. lunch was a couple of FS pork and leek sausages with fried onions in a ciabatta roll.  A portion of lasagna from the freezer for dinner

Sun creeping out, the recent windy weather has knocked my runners sideways again, so need to prop those back to vertical, and if it keeps sunny I'll pick a lot of my blackberries to freeze for later when the apples are ready

MOT passed without trouble, a couple of advisories but nothing horrible considering it's eighteen years old with over 100K on the clock

Made nice fresh loaf overnight, which is cooling for lunch, may just go for plain old fresh warm bread & butter, or maybe salad filling?
Dinner, I'm going to slow roast the boneless pork loin from Morries, then either go full roast or perhaps just with salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Good news on the MOT front Farway
Dry and sunny here this morning, yipee! Just waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can get a load hung out, first time in weeks the weather has been okay enough to do it.
Mean plan done and a couple of new meals or different combinations on the plan, will finalise the order this morning.
Cottage cheese salad for lunch. Sausage and baked bean casserole for dinner.
